Abu Dhabi closes eatery for violating food laws, posing 'significant risk to public health'
Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has decided to administratively close an eatery in the emirate, it said on Thursday, April 17.
The authority took to Instagram today to inform residents that it has issued the decision. The eatery, located in Al Shahama, was found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislation.
Tasif Restaurant, holding the trade licence number CN-2836859, was conducting practices that posed "a significant risk to public health".
Last week, the authority shut down Strong Tea Cafeteria in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, for violating food safety laws in the emirate.
The cafeteria was previously fined three times and issued a warning of administrative closure for the spread of pests and insects in the facility and the lack of cleanliness in it.
