Huge fire hits Happyland in Tondo, Manila
A fire broke out in Happyland, a residential area on Mel Lopez Boulevard in Tondo, Manila on Wednesday morning.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the first alarm was raised at 9:47 a.m., and this was quickly elevated to second alarm at 9:48 a.m.
It was later raised to third alarm at 9:55 a.m. and reached the fourth and fifth alarm by 10:10 a.m.
The fire was declared under Task Force Alpha at 10:17 a.m., and elevated to Task Force Bravo thereafter.
Task Force Charlie was declared at 10:57 a.m.
Authorities have yet to confirm if there were injuries or fatalities, and give an estimate of the extent of property damage. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/KG, GMA Integrated News
