Disney+ bringing Hulu to the UK for first time in 18 years
Hulu was first launched in the US back in 2007 as a joint venture between broadcasters, including NBC, Fox, and ABC. The platform has gone on to become one of the more popular streaming services in the US, offering current-season episodes of hit shows like Grey's Anatomy, This Is Us, and The Handmaid's Tale, often just hours after they aired on regular TV. Disney gained full ownership of Hulu in June this year and will now bring the popular US streaming platform to the UK for the first time, later this year, according to Cord Busters. Hulu will replace Star on Disney+, a service that first launched back in February 2021.
