Buying An SUV? Here Are The 5 Most Googled Models In The Last 30 Days

Last Updated: SUVs are dominating India's car market as buyers now favour their high ground clearance and bold road presence over traditional hatchbacks and sedans The Indian car market has increasingly shifted towards SUV models, with buyers now preferring vehicles with higher ground clearance and a commanding stance over hatchbacks and sedans. This trend is also reflected in Google search data. These are the top five SUVs that have been trending online in the last 30 days. Honda Elevate: The Honda Elevate has garnered significant attention for two key reasons. Earlier this month, Honda launched a special Apex Summer Edition of the Elevate, priced at Rs 12.39 lakh and Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual and CVT variants respectively. This edition features several exterior and interior enhancements over the standard model. Additionally, Honda is offering attractive discounts of up to Rs 76,000 on this mid-size SUV for the month of May. Tata Curvv: The Tata Curvv is another highly trending vehicle on the internet. Available with multiple powertrain options including petrol, diesel, and fully electric, Tata Motors is now preparing to launch CNG variants of this coupe SUV. Earlier this month, a few units of the Curvv EV Dark Edition were delivered to Rashtrapati Bhavan and the company announced that all range vehicles are now available for sale on the government e-marketplace for all government bodies across the country. Kia Carens Clavis: Although technically not an SUV, the Kia Carens Clavis, with its bold and tall stance, makes for a compelling SUV option. Kia unveiled the Kia Carens Clavis earlier this month. Pre-bookings for the new MPV began on May 9, with a token amount of Rs 25,000, available through Kia's official website or authorised dealerships. Prices will be announced on May 23. Tata Punch: The Tata Punch has not only been one of the best-selling SUVs in India but also one of the best-selling passenger vehicles in the country over the past 3-4 years. A significant reason for its frequent appearance in Google search queries is its high traffic volume from potential buyers. With the company's average dispatch ranging between 15,000 to 20,000 units per month (including the Punch EV), the Punch remains a popular car on the internet in India. Jeep Compass: The inclusion of the Jeep Compass in this list is primarily due to Stellantis recently showcasing the second-generation model of the Compass. Under development for some time, this new Jeep Compass will be available with hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric powertrain options. The SUV, which is based on Stellantis' more advanced STLA medium platform, differs significantly from the current model. First Published: May 19, 2025, 18:59 IST
