Wisconsin football top class of 2027 linebacker target to visit in November
Wisconsin football class of 2027 linebacker target Tate Wallace shared his plans to visit the Badgers on Nov. 22 via X on Tuesday. The four-star defensive playmaker will venture to Madison for the Badgers' final home game of the 2025 slate against Illinois. Wallace also intends to visit the Kansas State Wildcats (Aug. 30), Michigan State Spartans (Sept. 6), Tennessee Volunteers (Sept. 13), Michigan Wolverines (Oct. 4), Minnesota Golden Gophers (Oct. 11), Indiana Hoosiers (Oct. 18) and Northwestern Wildcats (Nov. 15). 247Sports considers the four-star prospect as the No. 148 overall recruit, No. 9 linebacker and No. 2 athlete from Iowa for the class of 2027. As a sophomore at Regina High School, Wallace also suits up at running back and receiver. Away from the gridiron, he plays varsity basketball and baseball as a three-sport athlete, per MaxPreps. Like several of his 2027 contemporaries, Wallace's final collegiate destination remains unclear. On3/Rivals considers Minnesota the early favorite at 36.5%, but Miami (Ohio) follows at No. 2 with a 32% chance to land his commitment. Nonetheless, Wallace's inclusion of the Badgers is an encouraging sign at this stage of the process. As of Aug. 6, the Badgers do not boast a 2027 commitment. Its class of 2026 -- the more prudent recruiting task -- remains ranked at No. 60 in the nation with 14 commitments.
