Abo El Anwar Returns in New Colour With ‘AFTARAT'
Produced by Egyptian beatmaker Tayyab, the track blends shaabi with pop and hip-hop elements. Jun 13, 2025 Egyptian rapper Abo El Anwar has just released 'AFTARAT', a shaabi-infused track that has him experimenting well beyond his comfort zone. Rising above the chaos of the rap scene in full swagger, Abo El Anwar trades his classic rapid bars for more melodic flows, using sleek worldplay to capture his life under the pressure of fame, but with unwavering confidence and bravado. Produced by rising Egyptian beatmaker Tayyab–known for his works with rap stars like Muhab, Begad and Ahmed Santa–the track explores a colourful musical palette, blending shaabi rhythms with pop sensibilities and hip-hop elements. As vulnerable as he is assertive, Abo El Anwar touches on themes of betrayal and escapism, contrasting fleeting highs with the emptiness of fame and fake opportunistic friendships. While he flexes his material wins, like travelling to Spain and buying a new apartment, he also acknowledges the emotional disassociation and prolonged burnout that comes with trying to hold up a certain facade in the toxic music industry. But beneath the punchy delivery, he reveals a sharp awareness of the instability around him, and his refusal to let it shake his sense of self and his artistic vision.

Cops book self-proclaimed journos, lawyer for conspiracy & extortion
Lucknow: A city-based teacher accused a group of self-proclaimed journalists and a lawyer of orchestrating a criminal conspiracy to defame him, extort money and obstruct his legitimate construction activity. An FIR was registered late on Tuesday night at Bazar Khala police station under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. According to the complaint filed by Mirza Mohammad Abu Tayyab, a resident of Mansoor Nagar and teacher in Shia PG college, he was subjected to threats, misinformation campaigns and monetary extortion since initiating construction work on a legally owned 1,450 sqft property he shares with his cousin. He alleged that despite the construction being entirely legal, some individuals posing as journalists and one lawyer were blackmailing him and falsely threatening to have his building sealed or demolished by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Tayyab named several accused in the FIR, including Danish Khan, Ayush Kumar, Shishunath Singh, Nitin Awasthi, Ravi Srivastava, Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Raza Abbas, Tariq Khan, Suhail Arshad, Kiran Kamal, Aziz, Harish Bhatnagar, Kamlesh, Indrashaun, Vishal Nigam, Tanmay Raj Singh (a lawyer) and eight to 10 unknown persons. Some were identified by name and mobile numbers, while others remain unidentified. Tayyab claims lawyer Tanmay extorted Rs 50,000 from him via UPI transactions under threats of official action. He also submitted copies of those transactions as evidence. The complainant further pointed out that defamatory reports were posted online, particularly two stories — one by Tariq Khan titled "LDA Breaking: Illegal Construction Continues in Zone 7 (in Hindi)" and another by Suhail Arshad, "Suspended JE Fuelling Corruption Again (in Hindi)" — alleging illegal construction near the police station with administrative connivance. Tayyab called both reports baseless, malicious and part of a larger scheme to malign his image. DCP, West Zone, Vishwajeet Srivastava said that an FIR under BNS Section 61(2) (common intention), 308(2) (criminal conspiracy), 356(2) (extortion by threat to reputation), 356(3) (extortion through threat of official action), was registered against the named accused. "We are verifying the digital evidence and have begun preliminary inquiries," he said. "Don't think there was issue with lights": Pakistan's Tayyab Tahir gives his take on Rachin's injury incident
Karachi : Pakistan batter Tayyab Tahir dismissed the speculation about Rachin Ravindra being stuck by the ball due to an issue with the floodlight during the first match of the ODI tri-nation series between the Men in Green and New Zealand last week in Lahore. The unfortunate injury incident occurred in the 38th over of the second innings, when Rachin attempted to complete a catch off Michael Bracewell. During his attempt, he seemingly lost sight of the ball due to floodlights and took a heavy blow to his face. He went off the pitch after he started to bleed. The incident became the talk of the town and left the fans and former cricketers divided into two sections. While some believe floodlight was the cause behind the incident, others have downplayed the speculation. Tayyab weighed in on the entire incident and felt the lights were not at fault for Rachin's injury due to the elevation of the ball. "I don't think there was an issue with the lights. Ravindra didn't get struck by the ball because of the lights. The ball wasn't that high in the air," Tayyab said in a press conference in Karachi. After the incident, New Zealand Cricket released a statement to reveal the nature of Rachin's injury, which read, "Ravindra was forced from the field after being struck in the forehead by the ball attempting a catch in the 38th over." "He sustained a laceration to the forehead, which has been addressed and treated at the ground but is otherwise well. He came through his first HIA (Head Injury Assessment) well and will continue to be monitored under HIA processes," the statement added. The injury left Rachin unavailable for New Zealand's second match of the tri-series against South Africa on Monday. Devon Conway was called in to replace Rachin, and he made the most of the opportunity. He played a blistering 97-run knock as the Blackcaps cruised to a comfortable 6-wicket win.
