2nd wave of Team New Brunswick athletes depart for Canada Summer Games
More athletes from Team New Brunswick are en route to Newfoundland for the Canada Summer Games, looking to add to the three medals the province has already won. Johnny James spoke with the athletes to get their thoughts before they departed.

'Le Tour de St. John's' at the Canada Games
The streets of St. John's looked a little more like the Tour De France on Day 7, with people lining the streets to watch the final day of cycling. Team New Brunswick's Molly Flynn took bronze in the women's Criterium, her second medal of the Games, having won silver in the women's road race. Team New Brunswick finishes Week 1 with three medals, and two of them belong to Flynn.

Team New Brunswick announces final team rosters for Canada Summer Games
Relive some of the best moments from the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Team New Brunswick has announced its final rosters of the 26 teams representing the province at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John's, N.L., from Aug. 8 to Aug. 25. The province will be represented by 355 athletes supported by 106 coaches, managers, technical staff and mission team members, a news release said. The Canada Games see about 5,000 athletes, coaches and managers come together from all the provinces and territories. 'Team New Brunswick is ready to compete against the nation's best athletes at the 2025 Canada Summer Games,' said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Isabelle Thériault. 'Our team is composed of talented athletes, dedicated coaches and leaders. Congratulations to everyone on this accomplishment, and I wish you well as you focus on your final preparations for the Games.' Team New Brunswick will compete in artistic swimming athletics baseball basketball beach volleyball (and volleyball) box lacrosse canoe kayak cycling (road and mountain bike) golf rugby sevens sailing soccer softball swimming tennis wrestling 'The Canada Games are a truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for athletes and coaches alike – not only to compete at a national level, but also to experience a multi-sport Games environment,' said Team New Brunswick chef de mission Nicole Smith, who is leading the team for the fifth consecutive Games. 'The level of competition is high, and the experience our athletes gain will be invaluable as they move forward in their athletic pursuits. It's also a chance for them to represent their province with pride, form lifelong memories and be inspired by the spirit of sport and community that defines the Canada Games.'
