iPhone 17 Release Date: Announcement, Pre-order, Launch Day Timing

It's fun to speculate on which new features the new iPhone 17 lineup will have, but what we really want to know is when we can get our hands on them. As we get closer to September and the traditional announce date, the iPhone rumors are arriving more frequently. Once the rumored iPhone 17 -- as well as the iPhone 17 Air, Pro and Pro Max -- is revealed, we'll be able to confirm speculation about colors, display, cameras and more. We'll also learn how much the new iPhone will cost, which is also still up in the air, thanks in part to looming tariffs. Based on previous releases, the new iPhone will be announced in September, but the exact dates for the announcement, preorder and release are still the subject of speculation. A representative for Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Possible iPhone announcement date One recent leak points to Apple holding the iPhone 17 event on Sept. 9. German site iPhone-Ticker claims that it gained access to internal documents from a local carrier, and even though the sourcing cannot be confirmed, that release date lines up with existing rumors and expert opinion. We've sifted through the whispers, analysis and guesses so you can make a date to get your hands on the new iPhone. Read more: Should You Buy an iPhone 16 or Wait for the iPhone 17? Watch this: Hey, Apple: Steal These S25 Edge Features for a Skinny iPhone 04:33 When will the iPhone 17 be released? For nearly a decade, Apple has announced its new iPhone lineup in early September. The only exception was in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic when the release was pushed back to Oct. 23 for the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, and Nov. 13 for the iPhone 12 Mini and 12 Pro Max. In his Power On newsletter on July 13, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said that the announcement should come on Sept. 9 or 10. The supposed leak reported on by iPhone-Ticker lines up with expert opinion, so you might want to mark your calendar for Sept. 9 if you want to catch the new iPhone event. We cannot verify these dates because we don't have access to the internal documents iPhone-Ticker is sourcing. But if these leaks are true, they suggest that preorders for the iPhone 17 will begin on Sept. 12, with a Sept. 19 release. These are not official dates from Apple: Potential iPhone 17 schedule Announcement Preorder Release Wednesday, September 3 Friday, September 5 Friday, September 12 Tuesday, September 9 Friday, September 12 Friday, September 19 Will all of the new iPhones be released in the fall? Based on last year's release, Apple may release everything in the fall except its least expensive option -- this year, the iPhone 16E. The iPhone 16E was released in February, and Apple is widely expected to follow the same format for the rumored iPhone 17. That would mean the iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air and the iPhone 17 base model -- if that's the lineup -- would be released in September. The iPhone 17E -- if it exists -- would be released in February. Apple's future iPhone release dates Apple is expected to change its release format with the rumored iPhone 18. Reports suggest that Apple will only release higher-end models in fall 2026 -- iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, Air and a rumored new foldable iPhone -- and release the rest of the line in winter 2027. Why does Apple split iPhone release dates? By pushing its top-of-the-line Pro and Pro Max models in September, Apple can capture much of the holiday shopping season. Releasing the more basic models in the winter allows a second crest of excitement, but diehard fans and holiday shoppers will have already spent their money on the pricier models in the fall.

iPhone 26 (17) LEAKED: First Look at Release Date & Colors!

Apple's highly anticipated next-generation iPhone, potentially named either iPhone 17 or iPhone 26 according to recent rumors, is already creating a wave of excitement ahead of its expected 2025 launch. With leaks and rumors circulating, there's growing speculation about the release timeline, design updates, color options, and even a potential shift in Apple's naming strategy. While official confirmation remains pending, these insights provide a glimpse into what you might expect from Apple's upcoming flagship device. Watch this video on YouTube. Release Date: Mark Your Calendar Apple is widely expected to maintain its traditional September launch schedule, a pattern the company has followed for years. According to recent leaks, the announcement for the new iPhone could take place on September 8, 2025, with pre-orders starting on September 12 and the official release following on September 19. These dates align with Apple's established rollout strategy, giving you a clear timeline to plan for the next iPhone. This predictable schedule not only builds anticipation but also ensures that Apple enthusiasts and potential buyers have ample time to prepare for the release. If you're considering an upgrade, these dates are worth noting as they could mark the arrival of one of the most talked-about devices of the year. Naming Strategy: A Potential Shift One of the most intriguing rumors surrounding the new iPhone is Apple's possible departure from its traditional numerical naming convention. Instead of continuing with the expected iPhone 17, the company might adopt a year-based naming system, such as iPhone 26, to reflect the release year. This shift could simplify product identification, making it easier for consumers to associate the device with its launch year, and align Apple with broader industry trends. The rumored lineup for 2025 is expected to include four distinct models: Standard: The base model offering essential features for everyday use. This diverse range ensures that Apple caters to a wide spectrum of users, from casual consumers to power users seeking innovative technology. Design Updates: A Fresh Look Apple is reportedly planning significant design changes for its 2025 iPhone lineup, particularly for the Pro models. Leaks suggest the introduction of a rectangular camera module, featuring repositioned flash and sensors. This design not only enhances the device's aesthetic appeal but also improves functionality, potentially offering better camera performance and usability. The rumored iPhone Air model is expected to stand out with its thinner and lighter build, making it an ideal choice for users who value portability. With a single camera sensor, this model could strike a balance between sleek design and practical features, appealing to those who prefer a minimalist approach. These updates highlight Apple's commitment to innovation, making sure the new lineup remains competitive in an increasingly crowded market. Color Options: More Ways to Personalize For those who enjoy personalizing their devices, the 2025 iPhone lineup is rumored to offer an expanded range of color options. According to leaks, the following color palettes could be available: Standard Model: Pink, green, light blue, white, and black. Pink, green, light blue, white, and black. Air Model: Light blue, gold, white, and black. Light blue, gold, white, and black. Pro and Pro Max Models: White, black, navy blue, and orange. This variety of vibrant and classic tones ensures that users can choose a device that reflects their personal style. Whether you prefer bold, eye-catching colors or more traditional shades, the rumored options aim to cater to a wide range of preferences. What's Still Unconfirmed While these leaks and rumors provide an exciting preview of what the 2025 iPhone lineup might offer, it's important to approach them with caution. Apple has not officially confirmed any details regarding the release date, naming conventions, design changes, or color options. These insights are based on insider reports and patterns from previous launches, which, while informative, are not definitive. As the launch date approaches, more concrete information is likely to emerge, either through official announcements or additional leaks. Staying informed about these developments will help you make a more informed decision if you're considering upgrading to the new iPhone. Looking Ahead The rumored iPhone 26—or iPhone 17—could represent a significant step forward for Apple, with potential changes in naming strategy, innovative design updates, and a broader range of color choices. If you're planning to upgrade, the expected September 2025 launch provides ample time to evaluate your options and prepare for what could be one of Apple's most exciting product releases in recent years. Google officially reveals when it's unveiling the Pixel 10 family

Ever since early June, Google has been rumored to hold its grand unveiling event for the Pixel 10 family on August 20, and today the company itself has officially confirmed the date. Of course, Google hasn't mentioned whether it had initially chosen August 13 and then changed its mind and postponed the event by exactly one week, as we have heard from rumors, so we'll never know if that was true. But the 'new' date itself was accurate, as is so often the case with rumors related to Google (and especially the Pixel line, which just can't seem to stop leaking). We are expecting the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 4 to all be introduced during the August 20 event, perhaps joined by the Pixel Buds 2a. The phones should all have macro capabilities built into their telephoto cameras alongside their ultrawides, and support for "Pixelsnap" magnetic accessories, but unfortunately only through cases - the magnets apparently won't be built into the handsets themselves, iPhone-style. Otherwise, the entire range will be powered by the Tensor G5 SoC, Google's first that will be built by TSMC and not Samsung. Source
