Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may feature similar specs as Galaxy Z Flip 6, but at an affordable price
In a few months, Samsung will unveil its Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 across the globe. But, this year, it is even more exciting as the company is planning to launch two more foldables: a triple-fold and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. While the triple-fold device is self-explanatory, the Flip 7 FE is a toned-down version of the new clamshell-device. But, a recent leak suggests that it may not be as toned-down as it sounds. The Galaxy Flip 7 FE is expected to feature specs similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. For instance, the Flip 7 FE is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and is expected to debut in a modest price segment. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: Leaked specs According to Greek outlet Techmaniacs, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is expected to closely mirror the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The device will reportedly feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the same as the one powering the Z Flip 6, along with 12GB of RAM. It's also believed to adopt the same camera system, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera—all said to support 4K video recording. This new information contrasts with earlier rumours that suggested it would come with 8GB of RAM and the Z Flip 5's dual 12-megapixel rear cameras. The foldable handset is tipped to include a 4,000mAh battery, offering 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, and has already received 3C certification in China. Display-wise, it is likely to retain the 6.7-inch LTPO 2x AMOLED main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 3.4-inch external display—identical to the Z Flip 6. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: How much will it cost? A recent report suggests that the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could launch with a price tag below 1,000 euros (approximately Rs 96,000). This places it in a comparable price bracket to the existing Galaxy Z Flip 6 flagship, which begins at 899 euros (around Rs 86,000) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Based on this price segment, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may still burn a hole in your pocket, but it definitely will be less than what you would be spending on the latest Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: Release date (expected) Samsung is preparing to introduce two new clamshell-style foldables this year, though the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is anticipated to debut a few months after the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Based on the company's typical launch timeline, the Z Flip 7 is expected to be officially revealed around July 2025. Rumours indicate that it may sport a large outer display, akin to the one seen on the Motorola Razr+. However, it appears unlikely that Samsung will release both flip phones simultaneously. If this leak is true, then we may witness the triple-foldable phone and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE launch on the same day.
