Excitement builds as Redwing Championships to take place
The Redwing Championships are set to take place in Tenby.
The competition will run from August 23 until August 29.
Ahead of the event, Tenby Sailing Club has been holding races.
On Tuesday, August 12, an evening race saw Ted and Lucas in their Osprey 1342 taking the top spot.
Thursday, August 14, witnessed six Redwings racing to Saundersfoot and back in ideal conditions, with Robin and Steve in R244 clinching first place.
The Redwing competition is expected to draw attention, as all the recent races have been seen as practice for the forthcoming championships.
This will be followed by three more races to complete the Redwing Series.
On Saturday, August 16, Julian Cumpsty reported that three crews raced in 'beautiful' conditions, with Robin in Euro 986 taking the first position in both races.
The Junior Training sessions are also continuing on Wednesday evenings.
They will run from August 20 until September 17, except for August 27.
