'It is with deep sorrow that I share the news that our mother, the esteemed and beloved actress Mrs. Jyoti Chandekar Pandit, who lived life on her own terms and always smiled wholeheartedly, passed away today, 16th August, at the age of 69 after a brief illness," she wrote in Marathi Chandekar's funeral took place on Sunday morning at Pune's Vaikunth television channel 'Star Pravah', which airs Tharala Tar Mag, also paid tribute to the actor, remembering her warm presence and significant contribution to Marathi entertainment.
