93% engg aspirants clear ECET-2025; girls outshine boys yet again
Hyderabad: Over 90% (93.87) aspirants have qualified in the Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2025 exam, conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). Of the 18,928 students who appeared for the exam, 17,768 cleared it across 11 branches such as pharmacy, chemical engineering, and others. The results were declared by TGCHE chairman V Balakista Reddy at Osmania University (OU) on Sunday. ECET is conducted to provide lateral entry into the second year of undergraduate engineering programmes for diploma holders in engineering, technology, pharmacy, and mathematics degree holders. The highest number of candidates (5,336) qualified in electronics and communication engineering (ECE). It was followed by computer science engineering (4,879), electrical and electronics engineering (4,201), civil engineering (2,578), and mechanical (2,035). Hyderabad logged the highest number of qualifiers, 12,654 candidates, followed by Karimnagar (2,268) and Warangal (1,496). As many as 4,005 students cleared from Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities and 1,586 from Scheduled Caste (SC) communities. Toppers in engineering and non-engineering streams were B Santosh Kumar of Medchal (BSc Mathematics), Lenka Tesjasai of Visakhapatnam (chemical engineering), Golkonda Nikhil Koushik of Jayashankar Bhupalpally (civil engineering), K Srikanth of Narayanpet (CSE), and Katle Revathi of Siddipet (ECE). Kasula Srinivas of Hanumakonda (EEE), Raparthi Chandana of Jagtial (EIE), Pothuganti Karthik of Peddapalli (mechanical engineering), Thota Subrahmanyam of Kakinada (metallurgical engineering), Kurma Akshaya of Peddapalli (mining engineering), and Aili Chandana of Hanumakonda (pharmacy) bagged top ranks in their respective streams. After releasing the results, Reddy said that the admission process would take place as per the existing rules, suggesting that students from Telangana would be preferred over non-locals. Kasula Sravani (EEE): "I am feeling glad and thankful to my teachers, parents, friends, and everyone else for supporting me. Over the last few months, I took some extra classes in Hanumakonda, and that paid off."

Hyderabad: Around 93.87 per cent of students qualified in the Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2025 results. Even this year, girls secured a higher qualifying percentage than boys. The results were declared by TGCHE Chairman Professor V Balakista Reddy and Osmania University Vice Chancellor and TG ECET Chairman Professor M Kumar on Sunday and the results are available on the official website According to officials, around 19,672 students registered, out of which 18,928 appeared and 17,768 qualified. Out of that, 17,093 (girls) secured a higher qualifying percentage, i.e. 95.81 per cent, than 11,835 (boys), who registered a qualifying percentage of 92.71 per cent. The top rankers in engineering and non-engineering streams are B Santosh Kumar of Medchal (BSc Mathematics), Lenka Tesjasai of Andhra Pradesh (Chemical Engineering), Golkonda Nikhil Koushik of Jayashankar Bhupalpally (Civil Engineering), K Srikanth of Narayanpet (CSE), and Katle Revathi of Siddipet (ECE). Telangana ECET Results Announced, records High Pass Rate
The results for the Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) were published on Sunday, May 25, at 1 PM, following the examination held on May 12. A total of 18,998 candidates participated in the exam, which facilitates direct admissions to the second year of BE, BTech, and BPharmacy courses through the lateral entry system for the academic year 2025-2026 across the state. The Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, Professor Balakishta Reddy, announced the results on the premises of Osmania University. The overall pass rate for this year stood at an impressive 93.87%. Notably, every student who took the Metallurgical Engineering, BSc Mathematics, and Pharmacy exams achieved a passing mark. In a continuation of a longstanding trend, female students outperformed their male counterparts across all departments. Candidates can now verify their results and download their rank cards by entering their details on the official website.
