2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid Review: Expert Insights, Pricing, and Trims

Move over Sorento and Carnival, a new three-row hybrid Kia is on its way. A 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid could be just the thing to keep three-row hybrid SUV buyers from leaving the brand for Toyota's family hybrid options.
And, oh look, the Telluride is set for a full redesign. The 2027 Telluride Hybrid will compete with everything from the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid and Hyundai Palisade Hybrid to Kia's groundbreaking EV9 electric three-row SUV.
Here's what we expect from the 2027 Telluride Hybrid. What's New
With a new Telluride on the way, Kia will have to grab our attention the way the original three-row SUV did. We don't envy the brand's position, as the last Telluride was our 2020 SUV of the Year.
So what could the new 2027 Telluride Hybrid offer? A stretched wheelbase could add more interior room, helping differentiate the new Telluride from the other three-row Kia SUV, the Sorento.

Will they or won't they? That's the big question with the 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid. Hyundai now has a hybrid version of the Palisade, a three-row SUV that shares a platform with the Kia.
Even when we named the Telluride our 2020 SUV of the Year, we wanted a more powerful engine, and a hybrid with more than 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque could deliver just that.
Kia (and Hyundai) now make some of our favorite three-row SUVs, so the thought of the Telluride offering a hybrid alongside a standard V-6 has us excited.
Or, will a 2027 Telluride Hybrid fall out of favor like the Kia Carnival Hybrid minivan has? We're not fans of how that hybrid drives compared to the regular V-6 model, but anything is possible with the Telluride.
