Temple Police Investigate Aggravated Assault That Injured Three
Temple, TX (FOX 44) – Around 3:47 Saturday morning, Temple Police responded to the 800 block of E French Street after hearing gun shots. Upon arrivals officers reported seeing people exiting the area on foot and in their vehicles. According to witnesses, there was a physical altercation which led to an individual firing a weapon. Although police did not locate any victims at the scene, contact was later made with two victims at a local hospital. The victims were described to have non-life-threatening injuries related to a physical altercation. Around 5:40A.M. a gunshot victim arrived at a nearby urgent care facility. Their injury is non-life-threatening and consists of an injury to an elbow. This case is under investigation. Temple SWAT Team Called to Residence
Temple, TX (FOX 44) – The Temple SWAT team was called to the 200 block of South 25th street due to an individual barricading themselves and to others in their home. Around 2:53 Saturday afternoon, Temple Police conducted a felony warrant service for parole violation for a felony assault offence for 44-year-old Mathew MacMann. MacMann and the two individuals in the home refused to cooperate with police and instead barricaded themselves in the home. After police efforts to get the individuals to exit the residence the Temple SWAT Team was called to the scene. SWAT Team negotiators made contact with MacMann and learned there was a canine inside the home prompting the call to Temple Animal Control who safely removed the canine. At around 6:26P.M., the two individuals exited the home leaving MacMann as the only person inside. SWAT then used chemical munitions and surveillance technology to search the residence. Upon the preliminary search, MacMann was not located, which lead officers to use a K9 to deepen the search. The K9 alerted offers to the attic and after surveillance tech was used, MacMann was found. Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Temple
Temple, Tx (FOX 44) – One person is dead after a vehicle accident in Temple. Officers were dispatched to the 9500 block of State Highway 36 around 1:52 this morning for a motorcycle accident. Upon investigation, officer learned that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the backside of a vehicle. This in turn caused the driver of the motorcycle to go over the guard rail. One person has been pronounced dead. This case is under investigation. Two dead, juvenile injured in Troy traffic accident
TROY, Texas (FOX 44) – Two adults are dead and a juvenile is injured after a traffic accident in Troy. According to Police Chief Jeremy Gooch, officers were dispatched to a major traffic accident on North Interstate 35 at approximately 8:15 a.m. Saturday. The accident occurred at the ramp at Exit #311. A Dodge Ram Pickup was stopped northbound on the improved shoulder of the Interstate, attempting to change a flat tire. Both occupants of the Dodge Ram were at the back of the vehicle, removing the spare tire from underneath. A juvenile was standing in the grass median while the adults worked on the vehicle. Chief Gooch says a Kia Optima left the main lanes of traffic and entered the improved shoulder, colliding into the back of the Dodge Ram pickup. Both adults were pronounced dead at the scene by Bell County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Fisher. Motorcyclist killed in head-on Grimes County crash The adults have been identified as 35-year-old Hector Bococ and 34-year-old Maria Maquin, of Cedar Park. The juvenile was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and reunited with family. Chief Gooch says Troy Police was assisted by Temple Police, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Troy Volunteer Fire Department, 121 Towing, Ward's Wrecker, and Temple EMS.
