Two dead, juvenile injured in Troy traffic accident
TROY, Texas (FOX 44) – Two adults are dead and a juvenile is injured after a traffic accident in Troy.
According to Police Chief Jeremy Gooch, officers were dispatched to a major traffic accident on North Interstate 35 at approximately 8:15 a.m. Saturday. The accident occurred at the ramp at Exit #311.
A Dodge Ram Pickup was stopped northbound on the improved shoulder of the Interstate, attempting to change a flat tire. Both occupants of the Dodge Ram were at the back of the vehicle, removing the spare tire from underneath. A juvenile was standing in the grass median while the adults worked on the vehicle.
Chief Gooch says a Kia Optima left the main lanes of traffic and entered the improved shoulder, colliding into the back of the Dodge Ram pickup. Both adults were pronounced dead at the scene by Bell County Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Fisher.
Motorcyclist killed in head-on Grimes County crash
The adults have been identified as 35-year-old Hector Bococ and 34-year-old Maria Maquin, of Cedar Park. The juvenile was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and reunited with family.
Chief Gooch says Troy Police was assisted by Temple Police, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Troy Volunteer Fire Department, 121 Towing, Ward's Wrecker, and Temple EMS.
This investigation is ongoing.

Bond is set at $30,000, no 10%. The May 30 incident at a home on Crooks Road resulted in serious injuries to a 9-year-old boy, Troy Police Department reported. The child had emergency surgery as a result, and he remained in critical condition this week. The child's mother was in the home at the time of the shooting. There is no relation between Murphy and the 9-year-old child, other than living in the same residence, police said.

Miami Gardens crash during rush hour leaves one person dead, police say
A major crash in Miami Gardens left a person dead Thursday afternoon, police say. Just before 4 p.m., a Dodge Ram pick-up truck was driving up Northwest 22nd Avenue when, for unknown reasons, it collided with an unoccupied parked car in the 2100 block of Northwest 165 Street, Miami Gardens police said. The pick-up truck overturned and then hit another unoccupied park car, trapping the truck's owner inside. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced the driver, who was not identified, dead at the scene.
