4 shot, including suspect, Sunday morning in Philadelphia, police say
Four people are in the hospital after being shot in Philadelphia on Sunday morning, police said. Police responded to a shooting near Stokley Street and Roberts Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Officers took a 26-year-old woman who was shot in the head to Temple University Hospital, where she is in critical condition, police said. A 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his leg was also taken to Temple and is stable, according to police. A 33-year-old man later arrived at Roxborough Hospital around 6:20 a.m. with a gunshot wound on his face. He was transferred to Einstein Medical Center, where he is in stable condition, police said. Later Sunday morning, another 33-year-old man arrived at Nazareth Hospital with a gunshot wound in his arm. He was detained and transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for care because police believe he could be the suspect in the earlier shooting, according to a police spokesperson. 2-year-old boy shot in North Philadelphia, police say
A 2-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder Monday night in North Philadelphia, police said. The child was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to police. The shooting happened on the 2000 block of North 21st Street at around 8:10 p.m., police said. No one has been arrested, and police have not recovered any weapons. Suspect sought after 16-year-old shot in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood
Philadelphia police are searching for a gunman after a 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times in the city's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood late Friday night. Investigators received a report of a person with a gun on the 2400 block of North 33rd Street at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, police said. Officers discovered the teenager had been shot in the left shoulder and left leg and brought him to Temple University Hospital, where police said he was stable. Investigators recovered five 9mm spent casings from the scene. Police provided limited information on a potential suspect, but said the gunman is a male and was last seen wearing a black hoodie. No arrests have been made in the investigation. The Shooting Investigation Group will oversee the case.

Motorcycle crash leaves one dead in West Philadelphia, police say
A man on a motorcycle was killed and another person was injured when a stolen vehicle crashed into the motorcyclist early Saturday morning in West Philadelphia, according to police. Officers responded to the crash on North 44th Street and Westminster Avenue and saw a field of debris and a vehicle that appeared to be in an accident, police said. The officers found a stolen white Chevrolet Camaro and took the driver into custody. The passenger of the stolen vehicle was injured and was brought to Temple University Hospital where he is currently listed in serious condition. As additional units were called to the scene, officers learned that the vehicle was involved in a collision with a motorcycle. The operator of that motorcycle was a 47-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Officers also found a gun and other contraband in the vehicle which is being held as evidence pending a warrant. Philadelphia police are also inspecting surrounding surveillance video. 50-year-old man fatally shot in Northeast Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood; suspect arrested, police say
A 50-year-old man was shot and killed in Northeast Philadelphia's Mayfair neighborhood on Tuesday night, according to police. Police said the man was shot on the 2900 block of Levick Street at around 9 p.m. Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector Scott Small said officers found the man on his front steps. He was shot once in the leg but lost lots of blood, according to Small. The man was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m., police said. Small said the suspected shooter was known to the man's family, and police arrested the suspect. He added that police recovered a semi-automatic weapon from the suspect's vehicle.
