Eng vs Ind 3rd Test: Jofra Archer returns after 4 years; check live-streaming details, India's record at Lord's and more
India will face England in the 3rd Test at Lord's. And, Ben Stokes' powerhouse pacer, Jofra Archer, is back. After suffering a 336-run defeat at Edgbaston, England have now asked for a lively pitch at Lord's. Captain Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum believe the slow surface in the last match helped India. Now, they hope for a faster, bouncier pitch to suit their fast bowlers like Archer and Gus Atkinson. McCullum wants pace, bounce and some sideways movement. Jofra Archer trained with England before the second Test after returning to first-class cricket for Sussex. He has not played Test cricket since February 2021 due to elbow and back injuries. McCullum earlier said it was exciting to have the pacer back. 'We all know what he's capable of achieving in Test cricket, and we hope that when the opportunity does arrive for him. He's able to recapture and also improve on what he's been able to do already in that form of the game," ESPNcricinfo quoted the England coach as saying. England Playing XI in 3rd Test: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Stokes (C), Jamie Smith (WK), Chris Woakes, Brydon Carse, Jofra Archer, Shoaib Bashir India, meanwhile, are expecting a tougher pitch in the 3rd Test and getting prepared for it. Shubman Gill will bring back Jasprit Bumrah into their bowling attack. India have played 19 Test matches at Lord's, which has been a tough venue for India over the years. So far, India have won 3, lose 12 and drew 4. India's highest score at the ground is 454 runs against England in 1990. The lowest score is 42, also against England, in 1974. The Eng vs Ind 3rd Test starts on July 10 at Lord's at 3:30 PM (Indian time). Cricket fans in India can watch it on Sony Sports Network. English commentary will be on Sony Sports Ten 1 and Ten 5. The Hindi commentary will be on Sony Sports Ten 3. The Eng vs Ind 3rd Test live-streaming will be available on the JioHotstar app and website.

We are really happy with where our bowling is: Stokes
For English cricket, 2025-26 will be a litmus test. The twin five-match series — first against India starting in Leeds on Friday and the second the Ashes in Australia later this year — present the biggest challenge for Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes ever since the coach-captain duo heralded the 'Bazball' era of high-risk, high-reward cricket. It is thus a pity that England heads to Headingley with one of its least experienced bowling line-ups in recent memory, with James Anderson now retired and Jofra Archer injured. In fact, bowlers outside of Chris Woakes and Stokes have played a grand total of 26 Tests, of which lanky off-spinner Shoaib Bashir's tally is 16. 'That's not an issue,' insisted Stokes in the lead-up. 'Guys have to start their international journey at some point. We have got a crop of bowlers who have an unbelievable amount of talent. Experience sometimes gets massively thought about and looked at. At the end of the day, it is your skills that [matter]. 'It's five matches... so at some point the dynamics of the line-up will change. But we are really happy with where our bowling is. We know what we want — points of difference and not the same thing throughout. You need that X-factor,' the 34-year-old said. The bowling line-up can ease up a bit, for legends in Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have now retired, but Stokes was mindful of the unending pipeline of talented Indian batters. 'The depth that India has in its batting department is incredible! Whoever comes in place of Virat and Rohit are going to be quality players. The two are a big miss for India, but we won't be viewing it as something that is going to be easier than it would normally be.' India does have a trump card in maverick pacer Jasprit Bumrah, but Stokes said that England was up for the challenge. 'No fear,' he declared. 'In international cricket, you come up against quality opposition all the time. We know his class and what he brings to any team he plays for, but in terms of fear, definitely not. 'I don't think one bowler alone is going to win the series for either team. All 11 [players] have to stand up. I don't think there is just one person in either team holding the key to success.' 'India's Bowling Stronger...': Shubman Gill And Co Receive Big Verdict For England Test Series
Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle believes that the Indian cricket team bowling attack is currently stronger than their batting ahead of the five-match Test series against England. The side, under the leadership of Shubman Gill, will start their campaign in England on June 20. Bhogle, who will be heard on On Sony Sports Ten 1 & Ten 5 channels, said that India's batters are largely untested in English conditions and as a result, he believes that the bowlers are slightly ahead. However, he added that the series will be a golden opportunity for all the Indian batters to step up and prove their mettle as the side will be missing the star power and experience of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. "With India, I actually think the bowling is stronger at this stage. I hope they get to a stage where I am proved wrong and that the batting shines again - Yashasvi and Rahul have a great partnership, Gill gets into form, Pant gets back to the format he is best at. Look- I think, the No Virat Kohli situation… in the minds of many people, we had started getting used to a scenario when he won't be around. 2 years before Tendulkar finished you knew that the change was going to come, you had started to get your mind around the fact that he may not be there. The great thing about this sport is, great players go and then great players come in.. that is the one thing we must be excited about in this series…how are all these players going to take one step up in their career," Bhogle told NDTV. When it comes to India's bowling, Bhogle explained that Bumrah will make a huge difference in English conditions and even tipped the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna to perform well. "Largely because India' s batting is untested in these conditions. That is my view at the moment. I am waiting to be proven wrong.. it is the start of the series. Since Bumrah is around, even when he is not playing he will make a huge difference. I am very happy that you made a mention of the two names we do not talk about their stellar careers- Shami and Ashwin. In Siraj, another player we don't talk often about, may not be enough of a box office material, but he has been fantastic over the years. Prasidh Krishna is full of promise.. I liked what I saw of Akash Deep in Aus. These conditions might favour him. Sourav Ganguly has spoken about Arshdeep the pitch is dry, Kuldeep will come in."
