Springfield airport plans major upgrades for 2025
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Springfield-Branson National Airport has announced some new improvements and additions in 2025.

According to a press release, the biggest change happening will be the removal of their carpet and the installation of terrazzo flooring. Approximately 93,000 square feet of tile and carpet will be replaced with terrazzo.
Beginning early this summer, airport customers will notice sections of the terminal being closed one at a time throughout the 42-week installation.
In addition to the flooring, the airport will also be adding new automated exit lanes in the fall, new concrete will be poured as part of the Terminal Apron Expansion Project in the next 12 months, and short-term parking will be expanded to add more than 225 parking spaces in 2026.
