There's nothing we love more than a long weekend, and just as it did over Easter, Hong Kong's bar scene has pulled out all the stops to offer yet another full line-up. Kick off festivities at Terrible Baby with a dose of Cantopop cocktails, head to Mostly Harmless for zero-alcohol offerings, indulge in casual izakaya-inspired bites with Neon Pigeon at Bourke's, and finish the weekend with one of Taiwan's best at Qura Bar – on a Monday! Terrible Baby is hosting New York outpost 929, which builds cocktails inspired by pop hits. Photo: Handout What: In case you missed it, Sai Ying Pun's Mostly Harmless Bar recently announced a radical shift to a fully non-alcoholic menu that still proves as delicious as the real deal. To commemorate this, neighbouring bars in Hong Kong have joined hands with Mostly Harmless for 'Sazerac Sundays Zero', with guest bartenders showcasing their takes on non-alcoholic drinks to close out the week. Though the event has been happening on, as the name suggests, Sundays, this weekend Coa is stepping to the plate on Saturday to offer a welcome break to the boozy holiday. It's a big weekend in Hong Kong as concepts across our bar scene celebrate International Women's Day and Restaurant Week. On Friday, head over to Yurakucho – also involved in the latter event – to check out their Arcade Takeover with Beefeater. Across Hong Kong, check out Terrible Baby, Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social and The Pontiac for just three of the city's best guest shifts championing women's empowerment. Qura closes the weekend by hosting one of Taipei's best modern mixologists. Yurakucho is partnering with Beefeater Gin and Chivas Regal to serve cocktails like the Pacman (gin, umeshu, espresso) and Space Invader (whisky, matcha , coconut water, passion fruit). In between sipping their drinks, gamers can compete to see who has the best skills on four different classic arcade machines, each with their own leader boards! In Kowloon, Terrible Baby hosts London Essence ambassador Natalie Lau and Socio's Nishma Gurung alongside the bar's own Asta Chan. Alibi – Wine Dine be Social at the Cordis hotel in Mong Kok is hosting eight female leaders supported by Two Moons Distillery, including Campari's Hong Kong ambassador Delphine Kong, Intervals' Imelda Ng, co-founder of ohm … in Sham Shui Po, Kosa Law, and more. In SoHo, head to The Pontiac to witness six of Hong Kong's best women in bars alongside representatives from Dead Poets and The Savory Project. Louis Eom and Mr Lee will represent the visiting Seoul bar, which garnered the 48th spot on last year's Asia's 50 Best Bars, and is known for serving modern twists on classics like the Sidecar made with oolong and English breakfast tea – or using Korean ingredients like the medicinal Ssanghwa tea.
