North Carolina man wins $10M after buying scratch-off
SWAIN COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – One Bryson City man's decision to buy a $50 scratch-off lottery ticket from a gas station won him $10 million.
Terry Millsaps bought a $10 Million Spectacular ticket from Times Turn Around at Beatty Drive in Belmont.
After his win, Millsaps had a decision to make. He could either receive a lump sum of $6 million or receive $500,000 a year for 20 years.
Officials with the North Carolina Education Lottery said Millsaps opted for the $500,000 payment. After taxes, Millsap's first payment was $358,764.
