The best photos from day two of Darlington Pride - can you spot yourself?
Darlington Pride returned for a second day with families turning out for a special picnic. Pride in the Park kicked off in Hopetown on Sunday morning with families enjoying crafts, face painting, live music by Tracks Darlington, bubbles and storytelling. The event celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and follows a parade in Darlington town centre on Saturday. Hundreds flocked to the Market Square just before lunchtime donning flags and colourful outfits. The parade featured stalls, tribute acts, performances and speeches from the stage and was hosted by drag star Tess Tickle - and the fun is not over yet. Darlington Pride will conclude on Monday with MonGay Pride. They'll be live music, parties and special guests at venues across the town centre from 6pm to late. The celebrations will honour the longstanding legacy of Darlington's annual MonGAY Pride night. Darlington Pride: Can you spot yourself in our picture gallery?
Hundreds of people headed into Darlington town centre as the Pride Weekender kicked off with a march on Saturday. The festival featured a host of stalls, tribute acts, performances and speeches from the stage in the market square, all pulled together by host, drag star Tess Tickle. Crowds gathered in an array of colourful outfits and donned flags as they took part in the march around the town. One of the volunteers who helps run the event, 26-year-old Owen from Newton Aycliffe, has been involved in the festival for six years. "It's such an exciting day because it's only grown in number," he said. "Every year it grows bigger and bigger and bigger and more people come."
