Rapper T-Hood has died. He was 33. T-Hood (real name Tevin Hood) was shot and killed on Friday, August 8, following a domestic dispute outside a residence in Georgia, according to a statement from local police. 'The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a shooting at a residence that resulted in the death of one man,' a press release shared via X early on Saturday, August 9, read. 'At approximately 7:00 p.m., officers assigned to the South Precinct were dispatched to a residence in the 3900 block of Lee Rd in unincorporated Snellville. The caller reported that a dispute took place at the residence and someone was shot.' According to law enforcement officials, they immediately 'rendered aid' to T-Hood, who was not publicly identified in the statement. T-Hood was best known as a rapper, releasing songs such as 'Ready 2 Go,' 'Perculator,' 'Girls in the Party' and 'Big Booty' with B.o.B. According to T-Hood, 'the internet is controlling' the music industry. '[Labels] don't have control of it,' he explained. 'They're not making this, you know what I'm saying? The kids [are] making this s*** happen. Therefore, we don't want to just [be] making a game at it.' T-Hood also stressed that he didn't want to 'owe' any record labels a piece of his career, and that his happiness was the most important. 'I was always told [to] love what you do,' he said. 'Put your all in that s***. … You gotta be happy with what you got.'

About T-Hood T-Hood was known for songs such as Ready 2 Go, Big Booty and Perculator. His projects also included Girls in the Party, Yellow Xan, 6 Shades of Z, Red Kush, No Problems (feat. Bear1boss) and Whisper, among many others. Last year in December, T-Hood shared a post about losing friends and his mental health. Taking to Instagram, he shared several pictures. He wrote, "Lately I've been losing so many friends it's been scaring me, mentally I've been lost and really haven't been tryna be found, when I say check on your people and ask them what's going on in their head.. I lost two friends in a week the same way, and it made me think what's the purpose out here if we all only guaranteed one thing." He also talked about being unfocused. "It's strange and something in me keeps saying keep going and don't stop and do it for those who should be here because that's what they would want for you.. I haven't been this unfocused ever, I deal with a lot but I know that I'm here to spread love and happiness for as long as I can." T-Hood had also said that 2025 will be amazing. "I've been getting back to myself and trying to create again because mentally I've been on block.. but life has many tricks and learning how to play the game to win is the main goal. I just wanna say 2025 will be AMAZING.. I LOVE YALL," concluded his note.

Tevin Hood, an up-and-coming Atlanta rapper better known as T-Hood, was fatally shot Friday night at his home in Georgia, according to police. Officers responded to a residence in the Atlanta suburb of Snellville at around 7 p.m. following reports of a dispute that erupted into gunfire, the Gwinnett County Police Department said in a press release. Upon arriving to the scene, officers located one man who'd been shot, later identified by family members as 33-year-old Hood, according to local ABC affiliate WSB-TV. First responders attempted to render aid before transporting Hood to the hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation, police said. No arrests had been made as of Saturday, though one person was detained and is in the process of being interviewed. Gwinnett County police did not immediately respond to the Daily News' request for additional information. Hood was well-known in the Atlanta rap scene and had around 7,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel at the time of his death. Some of his most popular videos are for the tracks 'War Ready' and 'Foreva,' which boast 186,000 and 143,000 views, respectively. 'Mannn not my dawg T Hood,' hip-hop historian Nuface captioned a video of Hood at a recent gig. According to DJ Burn One, Hood had been scheduled to appear at an event at Atlanta's Tree Sound Studios on Friday night.
