Packers-Lions season opener draws top broadcast crew at CBS
Game Announcers for Week 1 of the @NFLonCBS
The Green Bay Packers' season opener against the Detroit Lions will get the top broadcasting crew at CBS.
The Week 1 showdown, which is scheduled for a 3:25 p.m. local kickoff time from Lambeau Field on Sunday, Sept. 7, will get Jim Nantz and Tony Romo in the booth and Tracy Wolfson on the sideline for CBS.
Being the top game on CBS should mean a majority of the country gets to see Packers-Lions in Week 1. The only other competing game in the same time slot on CBS is Texans-Rams, another terrific matchup.
Although the network only announced the first three weeks, Week 1 likely won't be the only time the Packers get the best from CBS in 2025. Matt LaFleur's team plays Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the 3:25 p.m. time slot on CBS in Week 6 and the upstart Denver Broncos in the 3:25 p.m. time slot on CBS in Week 15.
