SEC Softball Tournament Predictions
SEC Softball has provided several twists and turns this season, the first with Oklahoma and Texas in the league. Though the Oklahoma Sooners won the regular season title, league play revealed that there are a number of teams that could take the tournament title and are legit contenders for the national championship.
Oklahoma swept Texas. Florida and Tennessee took series from the Sooners. Tennessee took a series from Texas. Texas A&M took a series from Florida. Texas took two of three from Florida. That's five of the top six teams who have beaten up on each other all season. Throw Arkansas into the mix, who could beat any team in the league, and the SEC tournament is wide open.
By winning the regular season SEC championship, the Oklahoma Sooners earned the top seed in the SEC Tournament, which takes place in Athens, Georgia, home of the Bulldogs this week. The tournament will begin on Tuesday and run through Saturday in a single-elimination format.
Who's going to win it all? Here are our predictions for the SEC Softball Tournament, the schedule, and broadcast information for this week in Athens.

It may be crazy to predict the Oklahoma Sooners to win the SEC tournament given their pitching struggles in Gainesville. But it feels crazier to pick against them. They may not win it all. The SEC is deep and talented. Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Texas A&M, and Arkansas all have the potential to take the tournament title. But Oklahoma has the best coaching staff in softball and a lineup that can score with anyone. If they can get better pitching performances like they got in the Texas series, the Sooners could find themselves hoisting another trophy by the end of the weekend.
