Teyana Rocks Designer Fits In 'Escape Room' Visuals As always, the lewks are doing the most in the best way. Her bridal couture moment is believed to be from Robert Wun's Spring/Summer 2024 collection. The matrimonial piece features exaggerated shoulders, ornate detailing, and sheer veils. Another scene shows Teyana dressed in a red suit that is on fire. She then switches to a bikini in the same bold hue. As the artist appears on screen, her body is smoking hot – literally. Escape Room, both the short film and the album, is set to drop this August via Def Jam, marking the next evolution in Teyana's multihyphenate career. Teyana Taylor just threw fans for a loop with a shock announcement that was completely unexpected. In an Instagram post shared on Friday, May 30 the "Rose in Harlem" singer revealed she's planning to do something she previously stated she wouldn't be doing anymore: releasing new music. According to the social media upload, the Coming 2 America actress has a fresh project on the way, and from the looks of it, it's coming in more than one form. Though the details were kept very minimal, one could assume that in addition to an album, there will be an accompanying visual film for the musical work—that is, if the promo trailer is anything to judge by. "ESCAPE ROOM — THE ALBUM COMING AUGUST 2025," the upload was simply captioned. With it, a star-studded video teased the likes of Mufasa and Rebel Ridge star Aaron Pierre (whom she's been rumored to be currently dating following her divorce from ex-husband, Iman Shumpert), as well as Atlanta and Get Out's LaKeith Stanfield. It's a likely inference to make, since those that closely follow The Book of Clarence actress know she's also a talented choreographer and director, going by moniker "Spike Tee" (a play on iconic filmmaker Spike Lee's name), and even has a production company, The Aunties Production, responsible for the magic behind several fellow artists' music videos—Monica, Wale, Bryson Tiller, and Coco Jones among them. Given Taylor's 2020 announcement that she was "retiring" from making music, citing feeling underappreciated in the industry, fans were in disbelief at the career update, effectively going wild in the comment section of her post. "An ALBUM????? So you're out of retirement!!! Lil Wayne is set to take the stage at the 2025 BET Awards. Announced on Thursday (May 15), the list of performers also includes GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Teyana Taylor. Leon Thomas will also make his BET Awards debut at the 25th annual event. 'We're setting the tone for a night that celebrates 25 years of impact, creativity, and Black culture,' detailed Connie Orlando, EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET. 'With electrifying performances from some of the biggest names in music and an iconic comedic host, BET Awards 2025 will be a can't-miss celebration of everything the culture represents.' As previously announced, BET will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the nostalgic music video countdown show 106 & Park with a tribute, creative directed by Teyana Taylor and The Aunties Production. Hosts AJ Calloway, Free, Julissa Bermudez, Keshia Chanté, Rocsi Diaz, and Terrence J are set to unite for the affair, with performances from Bow Wow, Amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, T.I., and more.
