Why Leslie Bibb Thought 'We're All Getting Diarrhea' After Filming ‘White Lotus' Water Gun Scene

The water gun scene in The White Lotus season three was just as chaotic to film as it looked in the show, according to Leslie Bibb. During a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, the actress, who played Kate in the Mike White-created series, explained why she thought 'we're all getting diarrhea' after filming the sequence with her costars Carrie Coon (Laurie) and Michelle Monaghan (Jaclyn). While it started off fun, things quickly get intense and they're seen running to find somewhere to hide. 'When we were there, [the festival] actually happened in real time and everyone's like, 'Let's go!'' Bibb recalled of shooting the scene. 'And I was like, 'No, I want to experience' — I was Daniel Day Lewis–ing it — I was like, 'I'm gonna experience it for real between action and cut.'' However, it quickly went south. 'We got there and it was like 300 extras, all with water guns, and it was a nightmare,' she told host Seth Meyers. 'I looked over and our crew members had [water guns], and they were just shooting at us, and I was like, 'This is a nightmare.'' Bibb continued, 'Then suddenly I feel like I became like my character. I was like, 'Where is this water coming [from]?' Because it's not the cleanest water in Thailand.' Since it's typically advised to avoid consuming tap water when visiting Thailand, Bibb said she grew worried and started asking several questions while filming. 'I'd be like, 'Is that bottled?' They're like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,'' she recounted. 'And I was like, 'Oh, we're all getting diarrhea. We're all getting diarrhea. This is all going nowhere.'' While Bibb was notably stressed that day, she noted that it was still a celebratory moment, as it was towards the end of filming for season three. 'I think it was Carrie's last day and so it felt very celebratory and everyone was so mischievous. And then we finished all the beach stuff, and we went back to Bangkok, and then Sammy showed up in Bangkok,' Bibb said, referring to her husband, Sam Rockwell, who also had quite the memorable cameo in the latest season. Shocking moment Brit tourists brawl with Thai locals in vicious road rage row as women desperately try to intervene

Two British tourists have been fined after brawling with Thai locals in a rowdy road rage clash. The two holiday-goers had reportedly been drinking beer in the depraved 'Sin City' Pattaya yesterday afternoon when they clipped a food delivery driver. The troublesome duo then allegedly hurled a bag of rubbish at the wheels of the 44-year-old's bike, sparking a road rage fight in front of the 7-Eleven store. The Brits squared off against the Thai rider as a woman tried to intervene as blows began to be exchanged. Other locals joined the fray, forcing the tourists to retreat into the supermarket. Police were then seen to arrive as terrified staff fled the store with one of the British men screaming for his phone. He was later seen pleading for police to 'take him' as he pointed to one of the Thai men. Police detained the parties involved at the Pattaya City Police Station and the Brits have since paid the driver £335 in compensation. A police spokesman said: 'The police were able to control the situation in time before taking the two foreigners and those involved to Pattaya City Police Station to proceed with legal action. 'The foreigners admitted their guilt in the fight and paid the rider 15,000 baht in compensation before going their separate ways.' The brawl comes only weeks after more shocking footage showed yet another drunken fight in the debauched city of Pattaya. A swaggering tourist had allegedly been causing trouble on the notorious strip of sex bars during Thai New Year's celebrations when the foreigner reportedly harassed a female staff member and at one point poured beer over a bouncer's head. According to local media, he was removed from one bar, but instead of walking away, he took off his shirt and beckoned over a security guard. The cocky tourist, who appeared to be speaking English, gathered a crowd and hyped up onlookers as he challenged the man to a fight - unaware that his opponent was skilled in Thai boxing. Initially helf back by locals, the guard eventually knocks the man off his feet with one swing before kicking him on the ground. Then other guards and several women, seemingly workers at the bar, also descended on the man, beating him as he tried to get back up. A woman tried to intervene in the fight as punches began brawling but she was knocked to the floor as the rowdy clash picked up intensity The chaotic brawl was eventually broken up, and the humiliated holidaymaker reportedly had to walk back to his hotel. Authorities will be keen to avoid any more unwanted attention for the former fishing village, which is struggling to shake off its lawless reputation. Tourists are regularly attacked or caught up in crime, leading Pattaya to be dubbed 'Sin City'. Embarrassed officials in the central government have launched tourism initiatives to attract families and re-brand Pattaya as a safe destination. Locals attempted to diffuse the situation as the man, who appeared to be with a friend, squared up to the staff member The foreign tourist was taken down with a single punch as huge crowds watched on A number of onlookers jumped in to attack the man and the fight erupted into a full-blown brawl Authorities have introduced safety measures, such as improved lighting and CCTV. Music festivals targeting young locals have also been staged on the beach. A tram system and cruise ship terminal have also been proposed, along with schemes to lure in 'high value' visitors. The coastal town first became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1950s and 1960s when the US had military bases in Thailand while fighting Communism in Vietnam and Cambodia.

LAPD increases security at Thai Town festival after deadly Vancouver attack

Security is increasing at a popular Los Angeles street festival following the tragic and deadly attack in Vancouver on Saturday night. The 16th Annual Thai New Year Songkran Festival, which runs all day, is active on Hollywood Boulevard between Western and Normandie Avenues. The East Hollywood festival celebrating Thai New Year is now under heavy surveillance by the Los Angeles Police Department. At about 8 p.m. on Saturday, a 30-year-old man drove a vehicle into a crowd of people at a Filipino heritage festival in Vancouver, Canada. As of Sunday morning, 11 people were dead and as many as 20 were injured. The death toll is expected to rise in the coming days, authorities said. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who is preparing for a national election on Monday, said one person is in custody, and it's believed he acted alone. The suspect has a 'significant' history of police interactions, according to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The Vancouver Police Department said authorities are 'confident' that the violence was not an act of terrorism, as there's no evidence that there was 'political or religious ideology' behind it. Back in L.A., extra barriers were added to block vehicles from entering the festival area. Patrolling officers will be on 'high alert.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. QuickCheck: Did protesters spray water at police in Perak recently?

A screenshot of the video that went viral showing a policeman being sprayed with water allegedly during a protest. IN THE world of social media, videos can quickly lead to misunderstandings and spark debates. A recent video has raised questions about whether the public was using water pistols on police officers as a form of protest. Did this incident reflect public dissatisfaction, or was there another explanation? Verdict: FALSE A viral video showing individuals spraying water at police officers was recorded during the Songkran Festival in Pengkalan Hulu, Perak, and was not an act of protest. This annual celebration, known as the Water Festival, is part of the traditional Thai New Year festivities observed by the Siamese community in Malaysia. The video, which circulated widely on Facebook, initially led viewers to believe that the public was using water pistols on the police to express dissatisfaction. However, an investigation by Bernama's revealed that the event took place during the National Level Songkran Festival, officiated by the National Unity Minister in collaboration with the Siamese Association of Malaysia. The police confirmed that the "incident" was actually part of the festivities held at the event and posed no threat or disrespect to the officers, who were on duty escorting the minister. Pengkalan Hulu OCPD Supt Zulkepli Ibrahim stated that the incident was part of the celebrations and not intended to be a hostile act. The Songkran Festival has been celebrated at Kampung Tasek in Pengkalan Hulu for the past 50 years. It involves the playful splashing of water to symbolise purification and the washing away of bad luck. The police urged the public to avoid making speculative or discordant comments regarding the video. The festival is a symbol of unity, prosperity, and peace, with participation from leaders and communities of various ethnic backgrounds in Malaysia. Source: 1.
