Pick n Pay Outspan workers share their time at pensioners' tea
Pick n Pay Outspan in Morningside reintroduced itself to the community through a giving-back initiative at The Guild Old Age Home on August 8.
Since opening in 2009, the store has transitioned from a family-owned franchise to a corporate branch, marking a new chapter in its journey.

To strengthen ties with the neighbourhood, the team chose to start with the elderly residents, hosting a special pensioners' tea and celebration of Women's Day.
The event also served as an introduction to the store's first woman manager, Nonceba Gulukana.
Led by customer service manager Thato Sito, staff members spent the day sharing food, conversation, and care gifts with the elderly.
Sito said: 'We enjoyed the day with the elderly people, and they also enjoyed being with us. It was a celebratory atmosphere.'
