The Boyz to make first full-unit comeback under new agency
Eleven-member boy group, The Boyz, is gearing up for its first full-group activity since changing agencies.
The Boyz, Monday, announced via official social media channels that it will make a comeback on March 17 with its third studio album, "Unexpected." The teaser video features iridescent particles gathering to form the word 'Unexpected' before dispersing to reveal the album's logo.
In a statement, agency One Hundred Label said, 'Since the group's debut, The Boyz have depicted the journey of a boy's growth through multiple albums. With the third studio album, they aim to express evolved identity and future direction with an unpredictable charm.'
Debuting in 2017 under IST Entertainment, The Boyz chose not to renew their contracts with the agency last year. Instead, all 11 members signed with One Hundred Label, the agency founded by singer-songwriter and producer MC Mong. During the transition, a dispute arose regarding the trademark rights to the group's name, but an agreement was eventually reached, allowing them to continue as The Boyz.
Kicking off 2025, the group recently held the fan meeting "The B Land" at Seoul's KSPO Dome from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, followed by additional fan meetings at Tokyo's Yoyogi National Gymnasium on Feb. 22-23. With the release of the new album, The Boyz is set to officially launch its activities for the year.
