Macroom's Briery Gap aims to become the music hub of Midwest Cork

Located in the heart of Macroom, the Briery Gap is working on establishing itself as one of the major spots for live music, and their goal is to become the 'key destination point' for live music in Ireland. Corkman Macroom's Briery Gap has relaunched itself as a hub for both local and international artists to entertain the masses as one of the top spots for live music and become the 'key destination point' for live music in Ireland. The building was purchased by Cork County Council in 1977 and a major refurbishment project took place in 1997 to provide a library and theatre. A fire destroyed the building in 2016, and it remained closed for nearly a decade. Briery Gap reopened in January this year, and one of the notable events the took place since was the Woodland String Band's performance during their stay in March.
