The Block contestant Han rushed to hospital

The Block contestant Han was rushed to hospital during Monday's episode of the reno show, after complaining of severe, worsening stomach pains. The latest episode saw all teams begin the main ensuite of their builds – all except for Han and her partner Can, busy dealing with Han's acute stomach problems. 'I was up all night vomiting … it felt like someone was cutting me up the guts with a knife,' she said. 'The pain was too much for me to think it was a normal bug.' Can rushed her partner to hospital, amid fears she may have appendicitis. Instead, after a number of tests, she's diagnosed with 'acute stomach inflammation,' likely caused by a severe infection. She's eventually released from hospital and ordered to stay in bed for the rest of the week. That means she'll be largely confined to the caravan she and Can live in on-site, but the couple have devised a plan so that she can still contribute: Can will regularly phone her so she can give her input from her sick bed. While she's on the mend, Han says it was pretty scary how unwell she felt when she was admitted to hospital. 'I was in a lot of pain, feeling really sick, and just in and out of consciousness from the painkillers. I was dribbling on myself! It was bad,' she says. The health scare came the day after the WA couple scored second-last from the judges during Sunday's double kids' room reveal. They earned a respectable score of 24, with judge Shaynna Blaze praising their colour palette while questioning their decision to make one of the rooms a baby's nursery. Fellow contestants Britt and Taz won the week with a score of 28 points out of 30.
