LBCI launches ‘Shark Tank Lebanon' to spotlight entrepreneurial talent

Launching at a time when Lebanon continues to grapple with significant economic challenges, the show aims to highlight the resilience, creativity and ambition of the Lebanese people. LBCI hopes the series will help foster a renewed spirit of entrepreneurship by proving that despite the circumstances, the country remains fertile ground for innovation and growth. The panel of 'Sharks' features some of Lebanon's most respected business figures. Among them is Maroun Chammas, a seasoned investor with stakes in over 30 companies across sectors like energy, telecom, tech and food and beverage. Also joining the panel is Georges Karam, a diaspora entrepreneur and investor who previously appeared on the French-Canadian version of Shark Tank. Christine Assouad, CEO of Dunkin' Donuts Lebanon and Semsom, brings over two decades of experience in the F&B sector and a track record of mentoring upcoming entrepreneurs through her initiative, The Catalyst of Growth. The panel also includes Hassan Ezzeddine, the business force behind major Lebanese retail chains such as Spinneys and Happy Discount Store, and Alain Bejjani, the former CEO of Majid Al Futtaim, known for transforming the regional retail and entertainment landscape. Shark Tank Lebanon seeks to do more than just entertain, it hopes to inspire a new generation of business leaders, connect investors with bold ideas, and contribute meaningfully to the revival of Lebanon's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
