John Cena
's plan to ruin the one thing that has provided for him may not succeed after all.
John Cena was always known to be the larger-than-life good guy and role model to millions across the world.
At the start of 2025, Cena began his farewell tour, which will see the end of a two-decade-long career in the ring.
However, The Cenation Leader shocked the world by turning heel at the end of the 2025
WWE
Elimination Chamber PLE.
He fired back at the fans for their mistreatment of him for years and vowed to ruin wrestling on the last leg of his in-ring career. Despite being drunk in power and holding the Undisputed WWE title in his grasp, here are three reasons why Cena would not be able to succeed in his plan:
3. John Cena's physical shape will meet its match
John Cena himself has admitted that he is no longer in the prime physical shape that he once was, which has been a huge reason for him taking the decision to retire this year.
Despite using underhanded tactics to win matches in recent memory, there might come a time when Cena meets his match, who would use his superior shape to counter Cena's moves and possibly dethrone him for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
2. Cena has been showing signs of babyface
While John Cena has gone into full heel mode, there have been recent events that showed signs of Cena reverting back to a baby face in the coming months. One was him getting teared up after his last match against his iconic rival, Randy Orton, at the 2025 WWE Backlash PLE.

Another time was at the Saturday Night's Main Event when he had a second thought of striking R-Truth with the title belt during their match. There is a possibility that Cena might drop the idea of ruining wrestling and return to his roots of being a good guy.
1.
Cody Rhodes
will save wrestling to replace him
John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 to win his record-breaking 17th World Championship. Rhodes took a hiatus before returning to WWE at Saturday Night's Main Event to stop him from attacking Jey Uso. This may be the start of their reignited rivalry that can culminate in Cena's last match with Rhodes, defeating him to win back the title and save wrestling by replacing Cena as the face of WWE.
