Is ‘The Chelsea Detective' returning for season 4? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on May 15, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated May 15, 2025, 11:38 IST Fans of The Chelsea Detective have been eagerly awaiting news about the future of this gripping British crime drama. With its compelling characters, intricate mysteries, and the picturesque backdrop of Chelsea, London, the show has captured the hearts of viewers worldwide. As of May 15, 2025, here's everything we know about the possibility of The Chelsea Detective Season 4. Has The Chelsea Detective Season 4 Been Confirmed? As of now, Acorn TV and BBC First have not officially announced the renewal of The Chelsea Detective for a fourth season. However, the show's strong fanbase and critical acclaim make it a strong candidate for continuation. When Could Season 4 Premiere? If Season 4 is confirmed, the production timeline offers clues about a potential release. Previous seasons have followed a roughly annual release schedule: Season 1 premiered in February 2022. Season 2 aired in August 2023. Season 3 began in October 2024. Assuming a similar production cycle, Season 4 could target a late 2025 or early 2026 premiere, likely between August and October 2026, if renewed promptly. Filming typically takes several months, followed by post-production, so a 12-18 month gap between seasons is standard. However, delays due to scheduling or network decisions could push this timeline further.
