Data breech affects one million Connecticut residents
HARTFORD, CT. (WWLP) – More than one million people had their personal information compromised in a massive healthcare data breach.

The Community Health Center says exactly 1,008,519 people in Connecticut were impacted by a nationwide data breach, which affects a total of 1,060,936 people, NBC Connecticut states. The Attorney General says patients had their vaccination records, social security numbers, and possible treatment, testing, and insurance information compromised.
Over 4,000 workers were also affected by this. They say it happened back in October, and was discovered on January 2nd.
Everyone who was impacted by the breach will be notified by the agency, and patients will also receive 24 months of credit monitoring at no cost.
