Elon Musk launches Grok 4, xAI's latest AI model: Here are its top features
Elon Musk introduced the world to Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy late Wednesday evening (July 9). With an aim to correct previous versions' antisemitic comments, this new model is designed to open an era of 'Big Bang Intelligence' as per Musk. Elon Musk launched Grok 4.(X) 'Grok 4 is the first time, in my experience, that an AI has been able to solve difficult, real-world engineering questions where the answers cannot be found anywhere on the Internet or in books. And it will get much better,' Musk wrote on social media soon after the launch. He has since been occupied in reposting and replying to comments and queries on his latest offering. What is Grok 4 and Grok 4 Heavy? On paper, these newly launched xAI models are meant to challenge the speed, accuracy, and vision of OpenAI's GPT-5 and Google's Gemini. Given the platform's 'free speech' approach, previous intelligence models had faced issues of passing racist or antisemitic comments which were subsequently circulated by users. The new models are meant to address these concerns. Here are some of their top features: Cultural integration As per Tom's Guide, these new models are meant to understand internet culture, meme language, and humor with better accuracy. DeepSearch DeepSearch as a tool allows Grok 4 the ability to access the web in real time, particularly Musk's own X platform which provides them with updated results. Human-like voice The new model features a voice more emblematic of humans and is characterized by fewer interruptions. Multimodal nature With the ability to process text and images side by side, Musk believes the latest models fix one of their own biggest weaknesses. Tom's Guide reports that Grok 4 may even be able to support video content at some point. Focus on coding Based on tools like GitHub Copilot or GPT-4 Code Interpreter, developers will discover that Grok 4 Code is able to write, debug, and explain code more efficiently. Higher levels of reasoning Trained on xAI's Colossus supercomputer, Grok 4 provides an advanced, scientific level of reasoning. The model also allows better logical reasoning and text generation. As reported by The Decider, Grok 4 is available for use at a price tag of $30/month while the 'SuperGrok Heavy' subscription which includes access to Grok 4 Heavy and other upcoming features is priced at $300/month. TV show contestant speaks out after losing $10,000 for fake singing competition

Fielder, 42, is a comic director and producer who has become known for his high-cost docu-comedy series The Rehearsal, which first launched in 2022. The series stars Fielder as a fictionalised version of himself who creates scenarios where ordinary people will rehearse difficult life events using sets and actors to recreate real-life situations, without the participants realising they are in a fake scenario. However, one contestant has claimed that they lost out on a huge sum when offered the chance to appear in a singing competition, just to be duped by the show. Lana Love, who had previously appeared on The Voice, explained that she thought she was singing up for a new HBO singing competition titled Wings of Voice that would give her the opportunity to kickstart her career. Love told Variety: 'I signed up to be a singer, not a lab rat.' Love revealed that she wasn't allowed to discuss the show as she signed a non-disclosure agreement. 'I'm legally not allowed to have this conversation with you right now, because I signed an NDA,' she said, but argued that HBO didn't have 'ground to stand on' when it comes to retaliation. She claimed she spent $5,500 on travelling across LA and New York three times for auditions, she added that she also lost money on accommodation, hair and makeup and $4,000 in cancelled singing lessons. 'I've been through a lot in my time. I put in my 10,000 hours, and I felt like there wasn't a basic human respect for people who have devoted their lives to art,' she said. 'I was at square one again, after 15 years professionally in this business.' The New York-based singer-songwriter detailed the experience, which carried on for months in her interview and revealed that she eventually worked out the competition was fake and part of Fielder's series. She revealed that she tried to let other contestants know that they were being duped, but quickly realised that some still considered the gig an opportunity despite Wings of Voice not being a real show. The episode aired on HBO on April 27 and was the second episode in the second series. The episode was titled Star Potential, and the synopsis reads: 'Nathan creates Wings of Voice, a fake singing competition show to test airline co-pilots by asking them to judge and reject auditioning contestants.' More Trending The reaction to the series from viewers has been overwhelmingly positive, and the season has received a 97% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes. Joel Keller for The Decider said in his review: 'We have to give Nathan Fielder credit for how ambitious he is in the second season of The Rehearsal. What we wonder is if this is going to make for good comedy, given that's what HBO is paying him to produce.' 'That Season 2 convinced me it's an earnest effort to improve people's lives and a sidesplitting comedy and a moving emotional odyssey for Nathan, well, that's what makes 'The Rehearsal' Season 2 a cut above the vast majority of television,' said Ben Travers for The Indie Wire. 'Dark Winds' Season 4 in the works as AMC shares when and what to expect
' Dark Winds ' has managed to create a long list of fans ever since its release. Fans have been waiting and buzzing for the much-awaited 'Dark Winds' season 4 premiere, though it seems that they won't have to for much longer. 'Dark Winds' Season 4 confirmation given The season 3 finale for 'Dark Winds' was already a much-awaited premiere for most. To add on to the good news, the production studio of the show has officially announced that the show will be back for another season, as per reports shared by The Decider. They confirmed that the show has been confirmed and renewed for season 4. The filming for this new season has also commenced from earlier this year in Santa Fe, New Mexico, exciting fans even further. The representatives from the hosting platform have also shared another crucial detail that the fans will be very happy to know about. The 'Dark Winds' season 4 will feature yet again 8 episodes and is set to release in 2026. Cast share excitement about new season In the same report, lead actor and character of the show Zahn McClarnon shared his excitement for the new season of 'Dark Winds' and all that he is looking forward to. He shared that "I'm looking forward to exploring and inhabiting the character of Joe Leaphorn once again in Season 4.' Not only that, but McClarnon also shared that the next season of 'Dark Winds' will also mark his directorial debut in the cinematic industry. He shared that "I'm excited to make my directorial debut on a show that means so much to me, and I'm grateful to AMC Networks for their unwavering support." President Dan McDermott shares insights about the future of the show In an interview that the president of the production studios and network did in February this year, he shared his expectations from the show and how it came to be. He said, 'When we greenlit the first season of Dark Winds, we saw the potential for an authentic and long-running franchise that could live alongside the worlds we were building around The Walking Dead and Anne Rice,' as shared by Sportskeeda. The president also cited that the show has stood up to its expectations, all thanks to the cast members and the producing team. He shared, 'That is exactly what this cast and creative team delivered, and the fans have responded. It starts with Tony Hillerman's unforgettable novels, cared for and attended to by a producing team that includes the likes of Robert Redford, George R. R. Martin, Chris Eyre and our showrunner John Wirth, and – at the centre of everything – the truly extraordinary Zahn McClarnon and the entire cast.' Dan also expanded on the fact that upon its release, the series was well-received by the public, and the up-and-coming seasons of 'Dark Winds' have a lot more to show. He stated that 'Fans have embraced this series on AMC/AMC+ and made it a top 10 show on Netflix for a solid month last fall. There is so much great storytelling yet to come in these expanded third and fourth seasons.' The 'Dark Winds' season 3 finale episode The much-awaited final episode of the show's third season was aired on AMC+. The finale episode plays a pivotal role in defining the overall series. Titled 'Béésh Łį́į́" or 'Iron Horse', the season finale will see major events occurring that will also include a high-stakes situation. The episode will show Bernadette struggling with a life-or-death situation while Leaphorn and Chee use all their might to officially solve the case.
