Is Cunha a better player than Garnacho?

Is Matheus Cunha a better player than Alejandro Garnacho? BBC Radio Manchester's Gaz Drinkwater believes so, urging Manchester United to cash in on Garnacho in order to make room for new summer signings. Advertisement Speaking on The Devils' Advocate podcast, he said: "Garnacho came on in the Europa League final and did nothing. As Amorim said, that's all in the past now. "Matheus Cunha is done, and will be a very exciting signing. "Cunha is a better footballer than Garnacho, and so is Bryan Mbeumo. You're talking about 40-odd Premier League goals between those two. "They're better footballers. Sign them, bring them in." In 33 Premier League appearances, Cunha registered 15 goals and a further six assists. Meanwhile, Brentford's Mbeumo notched 20 goals from 38 league appearances, assisting another eight. In comparison, Garnacho managed just six goals and two assists from 36 Premier League games. Will Amorim rest key figures in the Premier League?

BBC Radio Manchester's Gaz Drinkwater and Joe McGrath have been discussing whether Ruben Amorim will rest players before Manchester United's Europa League semi-final against Athletic competition is the club's last shot at securing European football for next season, given they have been knocked out of the FA Cup and are currently 14th in the Premier on The Devils' Advocate podcast, Drinkwater said: "Athletic Bilbao are going to be so tough to play against."One thing we can say is that we should have fresh players. Ruben Amorim is not going to play a full-strength team in the Premier League - because why would he?"However, McGrath does not believe that is the correct way to approach the game, saying: "I understand resting players for the Europa League, but we don't play [Bilbao] until 1 May. That is a long time to wait."I think he would be risking it all for the Europa League if he does that - and if it doesn't come off, he is risking his legacy."Drinkwater responded: "He isn't going to rest the players that are going to be playing in the semi-final every week between now and then. There is still going to be the odd one playing here and there just to keep them match fit."Ruben Amorim's legacy at this club will be lifting that Europa League trophy at the end of this season and taking Manchester United into the Champions League next season."Listen to the full podcast on BBC Sounds

Amorim 'can only hope his faith is justified' after backing Onana

United 'need player who has been there and done it'

Boxer and Manchester United supporter Pat Brown, speaking to The Devils' Advocate podcast about Sunday's Manchester derby against Manchester City:"This United squad would be 100% better if they had a natural goalscorer."Rasmus Hojlund holds the ball up very well - he's strong, he's got many years left in him and we have a very youthful team, but if we had a Harry Kane type in the squad it would've been a different story. You just can't buy experience."I take my hat off for Joshua Zirkzee. He's improved so much and has really come out of his shell. I also believe with Alejandro Garnacho that a bit of punishment of not playing him has made him hungrier - but we still need a proper striker that we can rely on who saves the day."There's nothing quite like the Premier League, so United need a player in their late 20s who has been there and done it all."Listen to the full episode on BBC Sounds
