Look for the news to drop on Tuesday, after Chanel (Raven Bowens) reminds her husband to focus on clearing his name instead of hers on Monday. That theory has been speculated across the DAYS fandom, and now, there's a chance it could be right. The week will end with an unexpected close to Johnny's trial. Sophia's Secret Elsewhere in Salem, Sophia (Rachel Boyd) has been keeping a huge secret of her own: she left hers and Tate's (Leo Howard) baby at the fire station, where Javi (Al Calderon) and Leo (Greg Rikaart) stepped up to take care of him. The couple have been growing closer to Baby Tesoro, having no idea he's actually Sophia's son. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), on the other hand, does know the truth, and on Thursday, she'll encourage the teen to come clean about what really happened. But Sophia and Melinda (Tina Huang) have been determined to keep it all under wraps, so will Sarah's efforts lead to a tricky situation? Days of Our Lives Recap: Shane Reactivates Cat to Help Take Down The DiMeras originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: The Bistro: Chad and Gabi are enjoying a meal. He is surprised by her invitation. She says it's for old times' sake, but he is certain this is about Gabi Chic. She wants to talk about his birthright at DiMera. She tries to convince him to reclaim the company from the brothers' Kiriakis. Chad has no interest as the company has always been a front for all sorts of illegal activities. Chad wonders what's in it for Gabi and she mentions her exclusive contract with Titan which has two years until expiration. By that time, she is certain the company will have tanked. Gabi also tries to entice him by talking about his children's legacy. She notes his passion project with The Spectator isn't nearly as lucrative as DiMera. Chad takes a call from Leo about the Philip/Xander story. When he returns to the table, he gives Leo his flowers and Gabi wonders why everyone is riding that weasel's train. She inquires about his limp, and he tells her a bit about skydiving with Cat. Gabi likes Cat for doing her best to turn her life around. She doesn't understand why EJ would bid on the date and thinks Cat dodged a bullet. Chad says he's gotten to know Cat and has started to like her, much to Jennifer Rose's chagrin. Gabi gets JRo's concern based on Cat's tumultuous history. DiMera Mansion – Living Room: EJ is cute texting with Belle when Rita arrives. She notes his good mood as she hands him the memory card from Rafe's camera. Tony walks in and is thrilled to see Rita after so long. She remarks on how he is just as charming as his father. Toni notes he knows what EJ is trying to hide from him, and Rita suggests he take his elder brother's council. With that, Rita makes her exit. EJ shows Tony the memory card and says it's Johnny who is in trouble. EJ explains about what's on the memory card and how it relates to the night of his shooting. He says he doesn't remember much but did find the camera right before the shooting. He can't fathom who could have gotten in here to plant it undetected. Toni asks about the Johnny connection and EJ spills everything. Tony thinks there is no way Johnny would do such a thing. EJ says Johnny learned about how he raped his mother. Tony knows what EJ did to Samantha Gene was disgraceful but thinks Kate and Roman had no right to reveal the information. EJ understands but says his main focus is to protect Johnny at all costs and Tony agrees. Horton House: Jennifer Rose, JJ and Jack are playing monopoly with Thomas (Charlotte is at the spa with Julie). Their grandchild hates JRo and Jack are headed back to Boston. Grandma JRo says they are going to come back to Salem more often. Thomas is skeptical but won't share what he's thinking. JJ also wonders if they are hiding something. Jack admits JRo wants to keep an eye on Cat Greene. JJ and Jack excuse themselves. Jack explains Jennifer Rose's renewed concerns about Cat stem from her recent date with Chad. JJ gets it but notes it was for charity. JRo thinks the Cat/Chad connection is only growing. JJ promises to also keep an eye out. They all return to playing their game when Jennifer Rose thinks JJ has better things to do than hang out with them. Thomas scoffs saying he doesn't as Gabi dumped him (I love a mouthy kid). Jennifer Rose takes JJ aside and says how much she can't believe he would get involved with Gabi after everything she's done to their family. She really digs in her heels when Jack returns and tells her to slow her roll. JJ assures his parents he is done with Gabi as it's hard to come back from accusing your girlfriend of attempted murder. Horton Square: Cat is on the phone with Felicity when she senses someone behind her. When she turns around the shadowy figure is gone. Park: Cat wanders around when Shane surprises her. Shane gives her the business for not being more careful before asking if her old boss can get a hello. Cat notes she was only an analyst and never a field agent. Shane has been trying to get her back, but Cat has no interest. Shane says she has no choice. He takes a seat and wants to explain the situation. Cat reminds him how her time at the ISA destroyed hers and her parents lives and recounts how she was assigned to investigate Clyde Weston and to infiltrate his drug ring (interesting). She goes on to mention her accident and the reconstructive surgery. Shane knows all about it as the ISA footed the bill. Shane explains Cat is needed back at the agency as she is one of the best analysts and her personal connection to the case. He says her job with Marlena positions her correctly. Shane says the ISA is back investigating the DiMera crime family. With them being taken over by Titan, there's blood in the water. He wonders how EJ came up with the money for the purchase and wants to know the name of the benefactor – which is Cat's job. They know EJ is trying to lay claim to a patent but that's years away. The ISA needs to know what his plans are in the immediate. Further, he notes how Felicity received life-saving surgery at the hospital when she was an infant. Cat reluctantly agrees to take up the task and will report back if she hears anything useful. That being said, she's done with the ISA after this one final assignment. The Bistro: Tony and EJ arrive. Chad gets up and hugs his favorite DiMera – Tony (I love these two). EJ comments on his dinner companion and Tony asks if the two can join them. Gabi says she was just leaving. Toni inquires but Gabi says it's no big deal. Before she can exit, Tony asks Gabi if she's heard from Stefan. Gabi says she hasn't heard anything from him. Tony notes having reached out to him in Alamania but got no answer. EJ says he got a get-well card from Stefan but threw it out. Gabi gets all kinds of snarky before making her exit. Endings Gabi and JJ run into each other, and he apologizes for everything about accusing her of attempted murder. She asks what's changed and he mentions about the camera and missing memory stick. Gabi is annoyed by her ex-boyfriend as he should've had faith in her. She wishes him luck and walks away. Shane tells Cat he will be off the clock the next day because of his son's wedding. He wishes her the best and exits. Chad, EJ and Tony engage in a toast. Tony wastes no time saying their father is rolling over in his grave with the company in Kiriakis hands. He says it's time for the family to reunite but EJ says no as the company always brought him misery. He goes into University Hospital and how he believes the family's future belongs there. Tony turns to Chad who is also not interested. With that, he kisses Tony and Chad makes his exit. EJ gets a text from Belle and also walks out leaving Tony to wonder what's happened to his family. Chad runs into Cat in Horton Square and they talk about Aaron's graduation. As they solidfy their upcoming dinner plans, JJ watches from a distance.
