See pictures from the Fringe Fleadh in New Ross
The first three sessions held on Saturday afternoons were led by Danescastle, The Mulligans and The Dying Kick!, respectively, while on the last Saturday, June 28, it was a day-long event featuring top entertainment by Magic Feet Dance Troupe, Nascnua, Vinegar Hill Trad Group, Wexford Trad Hub and PJ Sinnott.
The New Ross District Manager, Alan Fitzhenry said he was 'delighted' to see how successful the Fringe Fleadh went. 'It was fantastic to see Brennan's Lane being used for its intended purpose, which is as a really family-friendly and public realm space,' he said.
"We had fantastic acts over the four weeks, culminating in a really great day for the last day of the performances,' Mr Fitzhenry added.
Mr Fitzhenry also commented on the continuation of the display of talent that will be available to music enthusiasts free of charge in July as the Summer Sessions get underway in Library Park.
The Summer Sessions, similarly to the Fringe Fleadh, will be facilitated by St Michael's Theatre, with funding provided by the council, and Mr Fitzhenry said he's grateful for the staff of the theatre, district staff and all those involved as they are 'great events for all of the community to enjoy what New Ross has to offer.'
