SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Rock fans get ready, another band has been booked for the New York State Fair. Known for the hit single 'Face Down,' the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus will Chevy Court stage on Monday, August 25 at 6 p.m. 'We hope that fans of soft rock, emo, and alternative music are going to jump for joy with the news that The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is coming to The Fair for the first time,' said Fair Director Julie LaFave. 'Prepare your hearts and voices, because this summer, it's not just any show – it's an anthem revival with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.' The band that joined the music scene in 2006 quickly made a name for themselves with their debut album 'Don't You Fake It,' highlighted by the impactful single 'Face Down,' which not only dominated the charts but also earned them multi-Platinum status. According to the Fair, the band's ability to craft relatable and powerful music has led to over 1.2 billion streams, showcasing not only their musical talent but also their resonance with a global audience. ‘Whiskey On You' singer Nate Smith to perform on opening day of NYS Fair

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You've waited long enough. Country star Nate Smith has been announced as Suburban Park's opening day concert. Smith will kick off Central New York's most iconic 13-day event on Wednesday, August 20, at 8 p.m. 'I can't wait to get The Fair started with one of Country music's brightest stars in Nate Smith,' said Julie LaFave, Fair Director. He is known for his songs, 'World on Fire,' 'Fix What You Didn't Break,' 'Wreckage,' and more. 'Smith, who was named the Academy of Country Music's New Male Artist of the Year, Billboard's Rookie of the Year, and Amazon's Breakthrough Country Artist in 2024, has become one of music's most widely searched artists with over 2.2 billion career streams to date,' said the Fair. In total, the Fair's 2025 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts. There will be a daily 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. concert at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1), and an 8 p.m. concert each evening at Suburban Park. SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Yes, you read that right. The Scottish rock band, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, has been added to the growing lineup of performances at this year's NYS Fair. The group, which contains bagpipers, guitarists, keyboardists, and drummers, made their claim to fame in 2007 after winning 'When Will I Be Famous' a primetime television show in the United Kingdom. They will be performing at Chevy Court on Wednesday, August 27 at 6 p.m. The group has released nine albums in all, including 'Blast Live,' which was certified platinum three times in 2008, while their fourth album skyrocketed to the No. 2 spot on Amazon's Top Music Chart behind only Adele's record-breaking album '21.' 'We're always trying to bring the next big act to The Fair that will leave fairgoers feeling as if they just experienced something totally unique,' said Fair Director Julie LaFave. GEDDES, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The Great New York State Fair has announced its second concert for the 2025 season. This fan favorite will take the stage at the fair for the 15th consecutive year. The NYS Fair has announced Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone will play their hits on Chevy Court on Tuesday, August 26. 'Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone has been a staple at The Fair for nearly two decades because of their incredible ability to light up the stage and connect with audiences of all ages,' said Fair Director Julie LaFave. 'Their music has withstood the test of time and they've drawn thousands of fans to Chevy Court every year. Since their debut in the early 1960s, the group has produced 14 hit singles, seven gold albums, and sold over 52 million recordings. We're so excited to have them back for another year and think that fairgoers will feel the same way,' said LaFave. Herman's Hermits will take the Stage at 1 p.m. on Aug. 26.
