Notre Dame still hasn't settled on starting quarterback

Notre Dame still hasn't settled on starting quarterback The Fighting Irish have multiple players vying for the 2025 starting quarterback job, and no one has grabbed the reins yet. Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman is in no rush to name next year's starting quarterback. The Fighting Irish coach said that when there's a clear starter, the team will name one, and he's not sure when that will be. That could interpreted in both good ways and bad by Notre Dame fans. The positive interpretation is that the potential starting QBs -- Steve Angeli, CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey are considered the top contenders, though Anthony Rezac and Blake Hebert can't be ruled out -- are all playing equally well and forcing the coaches to make a tough choice. The negative interpretation is that the quarterbacks are all struggling and none have stood out as a potential starter. Of course, there's a difference between fans' worries and hopes and what's actually happening on the practice field, and we'd also note that Angeli has game experience and has looked good during some of his appearances. He's a veteran, so that may give him a leg up. The point is, though, that no one has yet given Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, and other coaches the sign that they're the clear number one. And the coaching staff seems ready to let things play out organically rather than forcing the issue. Report: Notre Dame has good chance of landing four-star running back

Report: Notre Dame has good chance of landing four-star running back The Fighting Irish could wind up with Javian Osborne. One report seems confident they will. Notre Dame might land four-star running back prospect Javian Osborne, at least according to one report. On3 Sports predicts that the Fighting Irish will get Osborne, with the publication having 60 percent confidence that the Texas product could end up in South Bend. The outlet also predicts that the Irish might get pass rushers Rodney Dunham Jr. and Ebenezer Ewetade. Ewetade has his official Notre Dame visit scheduled for June 20. Author Steve Wiltfong also thinks the Irish have a strong chance of landing wide receiver Kaydon Finley. Notre Dame has touted running back set to visit

Notre Dame has touted running back set to visit The Fighting Irish will host four-star prospect Amir Brown. Running back prospect Amir Brown has Notre Dame on his visit schedule. He'll be visiting South Bend on April 2 -- just one day after stopping by Ohio State in Columbus. Brown is from North Carolina, where he plays with the Rolesville Rams. 247Sports has him listed as a four-star recruit. The Fighting Irish have developed running backs well in recent years -- perhaps Brown could be a future part of that legacy?
