Karen Byrne and Jake Carter celebrate their engagement at local pub
Dancing With The Stars judge Karen Byrne and her singer-songwriter fiancé Jake Carter recently marked their engagement with a bash at the local pub. The pair met in 2018 when Carter was partnered with professional dancer Byrne on the hit dancing show Dancing With the Stars. The couple got engaged in March this year when Carter surprised Byrne by getting down on one knee at the Dancing With the Stars studio, accompanied by their dog Lenny. Four months later, the couple celebrated their engagement with a shindig at the local pub alongside friends and family, and, of course, Lenny. Guests on the night included DWTS judge Brian Redmond, TV personality James Patrice, and TV producer Adam McGarry Byrne. Paralympian Jason Smyth, who lifted the glitterball trophy with Byrne on last year's show also attended the celebrations. Byrne posted about the special celebration on social media, sharing photos taken with her fiancé and their pup Lenny with the caption: 'What a night.' Carter also posted about the engagement part on his Instagram account, thanking photographer Andrew Heeney for capturing the evening, John Doherty for providing the entertainment, and all at The Foxhunter for looking after them so well. DANCING With The Stars judge Karen Byrne and her music star fiancé marked their engagement in style with a boozy pub bash. The celebrity dancer, 33, and her Liverpudlian boyfriend, 3 Karen Byrne and her fiance Jake Carter celebrated their engagement on Friday 3 Karen and Jake threw a big bash in The Foxhunter in Lucan 3 Karen and Jake's close family and friends were pictured at the event The lovebirds met over eight years ago when Jake was partnered up with romance . The star explained how Friday night was their first opportunity to celebrate their engagement as they both had a heavy work schedule. He remarked: "I have been flat out between gigging and tour managing with Nathan, and Karen has been so busy after Dancing with the Stars ." And when it comes to planning the big day, Carter laughed: "This was the only date we got where everybody was off, so God knows how long it's going to take before we do the wedding ."
