Take a look inside a 17th century Spanish galleon replica
Come aboard The Galeón Andalucía for a look at what life would have been like on a 17th century Spanish galleon.
A 17th century Spanish galleon replica has docked in Whitehaven and will remain in the town for the rest of the week.
The Galeón Andalucía arrived on 8 July and will be open to the public until 13 July.
The ship is a unique replica of the Spanish galleons that sailed across the Atlantic, and the Caribbean and American coasts between the 16th and 18th centuries.
The 55-meter-long ship has stopped off in west Cumbria as part of its European tour, which will see it visit ports in Spain, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
From 9 July to 13 July, the public can explore its five decks and learn about its details, navigation and the daily life of its crew.
At the end of the year, it will cross the Atlantic and begin an American tour.
The Galeón has sailed over 100,000 nautical miles across oceans and seas, visiting ports on four continents, including London, Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, New York, and Quebec.
Watch this time-lapse of the ship arriving at Whitehaven Harbour shortly after 11pm on 8 July.
