RealLIST Connectors 2025: These 20 people keep the Philly tech community thriving
Who you know matters when you're building a company or organization — and building that network can start with a single connection. Each year, we select a slate of informative, connective Philadelphians who are engaged with the tech community as our RealLIST Connectors. Last year's feature highlighted 20 standouts, building on our lists from 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020. We curate the candidates by asking our community for nominations and combing through the past year of reporting. We sent those nominees a survey to gather more information about each person's involvement in the Philly tech scene and to hear their personal philosophies on collaboration. New this year, we included people from Delaware, since the region is part of the Greater Philadelphia ecosystem. The final list includes 20 people from a range of sectors, including education, venture capital, city government and workforce development. These people are working to create a more inclusive and collaborative environment, with the shared goal of seeing Philadelphia thrive. Scroll down to meet the 2025 cohort of RealLIST Connectors, listed in alphabetical order. Can't see the info above? View it in a new tab. Methodology: To build RealLIST Connectors, editorial team assesses factors including current role, volunteer experience, participation in community programming, lasting impact on the region and more. We ask each connector candidate to complete a survey to help us understand and verify these factors, and we only include people that have responded. RealLIST Startups 2025: Meet 20 Philly startups hot on the track to success
Philly, let's celebrate the top up-and-coming startups of the year. annual RealLIST Startups identifies the region's young companies on track to continue that momentum. We rank them 1 through 10, based on our analysis of their recent wins, and also include a list of runners up. To compile this list, we searched through the past year of reporting and asked the general public for nominations. The final list spans industries, including fintech, robotics and, of course, some big life sciences startups indicative of Philly's current trends. How do you land on the list? These companies must make most of their revenue from selling a product (i.e. no consultants), not have undergone a significant exit event and be founded in 2021 or later. The highest ranking companies on the list all rose to the top based on major events like big fundraises, participation in accelerators, notable investors and noble missions. This year, we broadened our horizons to include all of Greater Philadelphia — including our now 'satellite' market of Delaware. Here are your 2025 RealLIST Startups in the Philadelphia region. Methodology: To build RealLIST Startups, editorial team assesses factors including societal impact, founder experience, capital raised and community involvement. We ask each startup candidate to complete a survey to help us understand and verify these factors, and we only include companies that have responded. Here are all the Philly incubators and accelerators to put on your radar
For an early-stage company, the decision to join an incubator or accelerator can lead to connections and resources that boost them to the next level. The good news is that Philadelphia offers a variety of programs for a range of founder experiences, including programs that specifically target students or sectors like life sciences. With chances to seek out mentors and get a financial boost, these programs often require a dedicated commitment to weeks or months of programming. If you don't find the right fit, you can always check out organizations like Philly Startup Leaders and Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technology offering a dedicated community and other resources to lean on. Check out the full, interactive list below of incubators and accelerators in the Philly region. 💡What's the difference between incubators and accelerators? Incubators are generally programs where entrepreneurs can find early-stage mentoring and resources to develop their business. They often include an opportunity for office or lab space, and typically have longer, more flexible timelines. Accelerators are typically highly structured, intensive, cohort-based programs that last for a set time period — usually anywhere from four weeks to several months. Often involving a competitive application process, they may be virtual, hybrid or in-person, and often require a commitment to meet with the cohort on a regular basis. Do you know of a program not on this list? Reach out to philly@ to let us know.
