Drake Cancels Manchester Show Due to ‘Travel Logistics'

Drake has called off his concert in Manchester, England, citing an 'unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics.' The rapper was scheduled to perform at Co-op Live tonight, July 28, as part of a series of three concerts at the venue. The venue shared the news on their website last night, writing, 'Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow's performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled. The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, Aug. 5, and it's set to be an unforgettable night. All tickets remain valid for the new date—we can't wait to see you there!' More from Rolling Stone Tyler, the Creator, Drake, Lola Young, and All the Songs You Need to Know This Week Drake Enlists Central Cee for 'Which One' Single Drake Honors Ozzy Osbourne at Birmingham Concert Drake performed the first two concerts at Co-op Live on Friday and Saturday nights. He will also play the venue on Aug. 4. The rapper's current European tour also include stops in Amsterdam, Zurich, Stockholm, and Milan. It is unclear what ferry schedule the statement is referring to as Drake was already in Manchester before Monday's show. Last week, Drake dropped a new song, 'Which One,' featuring Central Cee. He premiered the new track on July 25 during episode two of his Iceman livestream before officially releasing the song. His last single, 'What Did I Miss?,' was similarly dropped via livestream. On that one, he drove around Toronto in a van called The Iceman, leaving many fans to speculate that his next album will be titled Iceman. He had previewed another song called 'Supermax' during the stream as well. 'What Did I Mis?' debuted at Number Two on the Hot 100. It directly addressed the aftermath of his feud with Kendrick Lamar, including the success of Lamar's diss song 'Not Like Us.' Iceman would be Drake's first solo album since 2023's For All the Dogs. It follows up his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor titled Some Sexy Songs 4 U, which came out earlier this year. £600,000 drug trafficker 'Own Raptor' unmasked by takeaways, LFC tickets and Audi

The user of the EncroChat handle "Own Raptor" was unmasked by his takeaway orders and purchase of Liverpool FC tickets. Thomas Hooton utilised the encrypted messaging service in order to traffic heroin, cocaine, ketamine and cannabis worth more than £600,000 across the country. A network of couriers and his "enthusiastic involvement in the supply of drugs" on an "almost daily basis" allowed him to become "well established and trusted by those involved in top level" criminality. But, following his downfall, scores of "prominent individuals", including West Derby MP Ian Byrne and a knight of the realm, have penned a series of character references to the court, showing "another side to the defendant" and his "genuine remorse". Liverpool Crown Court heard this afternoon, Friday, that Hooton, of Victoria Road West in Crosby, was linked to the EncroChat handle "OwnRaptor" by other users saving his details under the names "Tom", "Tom H" and "Hoot". The 30-year-old also referenced driving a black Audi A3 in his messages, a vehicle which he had been insured to drive at the relevant time. READ MORE: He complained his suitcase had gone missing at Manchester Airport - then he was arrested READ MORE: 'The Iceman' sent message by Paul Massey's family 10 years on from murder Henry Riding, prosecuting, meanwhile described how a phone number which had been given out by the account holder had been used to order takeaways which were delivered to his address, as well as to purchase tickets to LFC matches. The Encro phone was further shown to have "most frequently" connected to cell masts covering his home. In total, Hooton had 41 other handles saved on his device. He was shown to have been in contact with 20 of these during the period in 2020 in which French police were able to gain access to the network. These communications evidenced his involvement in the supply of 3.25kg of heroin, 10kg of cocaine, 2.5kg of ketamine, 42.5kg of cannabis and 13.5kg of cannabis resin, drugs worth an estimated £667,000. He was also shown to have been linked to the movement of £490,000 in criminal cash. Hooton, who was belatedly arrested in April this year, has no previous convictions. Charles Lander, defending, told the court that his client came from a "close knit and loving family" but had "lost his way and began mixing with the wrong crowd". He added: "There are prominent individuals who have taken time from their busy lives to write on behalf of the defendant and his family. None seek to downplay the seriousness of the defendant's actions, but I hope they show the court that there is another side to the defendant. "All of those references speak of the defendant's genuine remorse. The defendant has already impressed staff while beginning his custodial sentence. He has already been promoted to peer mentor status and has already been given a trusted job, working in healthcare. "The defendant's family are devastated by his actions. Family friends who have known the family for many years have written to the court, and none can comprehend why he has behaved as he did. "There were others who operated above the defendant in the hierarchy. All of those people who have written references speak of the shame that he has brought on the family. Your honour will see words such as devastation. "His parents, grandparents and partner are all adjusting to the fact that he will not be around for a number of years. I ask the court to reflect on the positive features that your honour knows about him. This is a defendant who has begun the first steps of rehabilitation. He is determined to lead a law abiding lifestyle and not trouble the courts again." Hooton admitted conspiracy to supply heroin, cocaine, ketamine, cannabis and cannabis resin. Appearing via video link to HMP Berwyn wearing a sky blue polo shirt, he was jailed for 10 years and eight months. Judge Denis Watson KC said that Ian Byrne MP and Sir Paul Grant had been among those who had written references on Hooton's behalf, adding in his sentencing remarks: "Yours is another case which arises out of investigations by the police and the National Crime Agency into the activities of users of encrypted phones. This case concerns the supply of large quantities of class A and B drugs. "The class A drugs alone are worth over £400,000 at wholesale prices. They would be worth considerably more when valued at street level deals. When one adds the class B drugs, the total value comes to over £660,000. "Remorse and personal circumstances can play a significant part in the determination of sentences at the lower end, but, for crimes of the seriousness involved here, the part that they can play is much more limited. Lest anyone overlook this, all drug supply offences are offences of significant gravity and seriousness. "These offences result in degradation and human misery for those who take the drugs, and for their families and the wider community. So much crime, and the impact of that crime on victims and society, generally flows from drug supply and the consequences of it. "Of course, involvement in serious crime impacts on offenders. It impacts on you and your aspirations. That and the other impact of your offending has, of course, been spoken of by family members and friends in their letters. "The more serious the offence, generally speaking, the less likely it is that these personal matters can have any significant impact. Notwithstanding that, all of these matters are taken into account. Unfortunately, those who know you, your family in particular, join the list of those who are affected by your crimes. "You played a leading role in this enterprise by arranging the supply of significant quantities of class A drugs and class B drugs. You have also been involved in acquiring large amounts of money from the supply of drugs, which was happening on an almost daily basis and appeared to span the UK. "You were working with high level criminal associates and used, effectively, a county lines supply network to supply others in Scotland, the north east and the south of England. I note that there was discussion about buying a van which had a concealed compartment, or hide, capable of taking multi kilograms of drugs in transport without it being particularly obvious. "Of course, this involved couriers having to do the leg work, the high risk work, as they ran drugs up and down the country. The supply of drugs on credit and the ability to purchase kilo amounts all indicates someone who was well established and trusted by those involved in this top level supply of controlled drugs. "You come from a very supportive family. You have done well at school, and your involvement in this sort of offending has destroyed your family and devastated them in so many ways. "References from those who know you speak of the different side of you. While you may have involved yourself enthusiastically in the supply of drugs in 2020, you have, since your arrest, showed as much determination as you can to leave this behind you and look ahead through a different lens." Hooton will be brought back before the same court later this year, when he could be ordered to repay his ill-gotten gains under the Proceeds of Crime Act. The National Crime Agency's Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbruster said following the hearing: "It's clear Hooton was involved in organised crime for a long time before he was charged. "His criminal and geographical reach will have taken considerable time to establish. His drug supply operations were on an almost daily basis. They were sustained and spanned the UK working with high level criminals.'

Inside Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price bust up as explosive new backstage claim emerges

Darts duo were involved in feisty encounter and report says it spilled backstage Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price's heated bust-up spilled backstage amid claims of security-guard intervention. ‌ The darts duo had a tasty ending to their Matchplay encounter on Monday with an aggressive handshake kickstarting angst. ‌ Details of events once the pair got off stage have now emerged with one revelation that Gurney had to be held back by security as he attempted to confront Price. ‌ The incident is said to have happened as The Iceman did a post-match radio interview as Damian Vlottes, from the Dutch Darts Draait Door podcast, said: 'Gurney was literally at the door with his head round the corner. "Two security guards had to hold him back. He clearly wanted to confront Price again. He came in swearing.' Former top player Vincent Van der Voort added: 'He was ready for a nice, friendly chat! He was absolutely fuming. Still insisting he did nothing wrong, that it was all on Price. ‌ "I only spoke to Daryl afterwards. All he said was: I didn't do anything wrong. He was angry, really angry. There was no calm conversation. He made it clear he's not a fan of Price. 'But I imagine Price would say the opposite. There's so much emotion involved. I don't mind it though, adds spice to the sport. As long as it doesn't turn physical, this sort of tension has its place. ‌ "You could feel the tension rising between them. He was at it throughout, gesturing, little games. That's fine, but to blow up like that straight after the match, clearly a lot of bottled-up frustration. It's unfortunate, but at least we've got something to talk about now.' Several ex-stars have had their say on the incident which exploded in Blackpool with former World champ Colin Lloyd telling Online Darts: 'I'm not sure what happened, nor is it any of my business what happened. It's good for the game, though, isn't it? Keeps it exciting. 'In some ways, you don't want to see that sort of thing happen on the stage. You've got adults all in there, of course, but there's kids as well and then you might get the kids turn around and say: Why do they look like they're going to fight on the telly? That's not what darts is about. ‌ 'If there was a bit of a difference or whatever, go around the back, then no-one's around and have a, not tear up, but have it out at the back without prying eyes. You can even have a heated discussion. 'Yes, it is good, but it's excitement, it's something for people to talk about. The game was great entertainment. It was brilliant. Just that little bit of shenanigans at the end, but, listen, the game's got to have characters.' Gurney appeaed to be mocking Price's celebrations and Lloyd added: 'I'd have probably said something, yeah. I wouldn't have been able to help myself, but I don't know. ‌ "I just tended to shake their hand, laugh about it a little bit and then there'd probably be a few obscenities behind the scenes. 'You have to have something. You can't just go up there, throw, wave at everyone and walk off. I like that Daryl, as well as Gezzy, show emotion. "I like it that all the players show emotion, because I think it is good for the game. It fires you up. The fans want to see it. They want to see you fired up. 'They want to see you not roll over like a little dog in, roll over and get your belly tickled. They want to see some fireworks, want to see some antics.'

Gerwyn Price and Daryl Gurney in angry World Matchplay clash after sarcastic celebration

Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price have some history - and the two darts stars clashed again after the Welshman claimed a feisty 10-7 victory at the World Matchplay in Blackpool Daryl Gurney and Gerwyn Price exchanged heated words after clashing in a fiery World Matchplay contest on Monday night - which the Welshman refused to speak about afterwards. ‌ Price won the match 10-7 in Blackpool, but the result was not what anyone was talking about after the winning dart went into the double 12. ‌ The Welshman held off a comeback from Gurney, taking out 81 in two darts to clinch it – and he wasn't shy to celebrate. Price screamed in joy and gave it some big fist pumps, before collecting his darts out of the board and going to shake his opponent's hand. ‌ Gurney had seemed to take offence over the way his opponent celebrated throughout the match and mimicked him after taking a leg. He did so again after the match dart, turning to the crowd with a furrowed brow as he did a mock body shake celebration. Price approached him, shook his hand and appeared to say 'well played buddy', but the body language was anything but friendly. Gurney said something back, prompting further words from Price as he shook hands with the referees. With veins popping out of his forehead, 'The Iceman' screamed some more celebrations, triggering clear annoyance from Gurney, who chuntered away to himself while shaking his head. "Gerwyn Price was taking liberty to Daryl Gurney's mimicking of him. They're feisty characters aren't they?' Mark Webster said on Sky Sports. "Let's not take away from what was a brilliant game. Price kept it in check until he got that winning leg and Gerwyn Price gets the last laugh. That's the type of characters they are. I think Price said 'well played, buddy'." Price declined to answer any questions from the media about the incident, saying instead: "Five, six, seven years ago that game probably could have got away from me and just slipped away. I've learned to just try and keep my emotions intact at key points, and I did it today. 'I think in two or three legs where my head was going to blow off, but I had to just keep it in. I just felt like I needed to keep myself composed. Sometimes I can and I was forcing not to let my emotions get the best of me, sometimes that's what happens. I can let out the emotions and then the next leg is not so good.' ‌ After the match, a tweet off Gurney's X account read: 'It's defeat in a fiery first round World Matchplay encounter for Daryl, as Gerwyn Price takes the win in Blackpool. Superchin took out 150 during the contest, and averaged over 98 in a solid display. and will move on to a pair of Pro Tour events next week.' It isn't the first time the two players have been involved in some heated scenes at the oche, having had to be separated back in 2019 following a Premier League match in Sheffield. Back then Price had been taunting the crowd after being booed, prompting some shoving and pointed fingers. Gurney then tweeted: 'Last night then I would like to publicly apologise for my overreaction in my match with @Gezzyprice we have spoken and he's accepted this. Sorry to anyone that took offence it was such a high pressure match with lots riding on it.' Price was quick to accept the apology back then, tweeting: 'Just had a catch up with @Superchin180 and accepted his apology for being out of order last night, a heat of the moment reaction. Life's too short to have enemies and hold grudges, see you tomorrow mate'

‘Did not see that coming' – Gerwyn Price and Daryl Gurney in heated ruckus on stage at World Matchplay Darts

GERWYN PRICE and Daryl Gurney were involved in a heated on stage ruckus at the end of their World Matchplay clash. The Welshman got the better of his opponent 10-7 in an opening round thriller. 4 4 4 But tempers flared as Price let out one of his trademark roars after landing the double 12 to seal victory. The Iceman celebrated wildly and it clearly angered Gurney, who then turned and mocked his gesture. Price saw what his rival did and gave him an extra aggressive handshake. They then exchanged words and the shouting continued as they thanked the officials. Price was not done there though, eventually giving it another fist pump and roar to the Blackpool's crowd delight. Fans reacted to the altercation, with one saying: "The game is well and truly back." Another added: "Price caught him mocking him, so he's well within his right to have a word." A third wrote: "Did not see that coming from Price vs Gurney." Former world champion Price asked not to take questions about the incident in the post-match press conference. He said: 'I've learnt to try and keep my emotions in tact at key points sometimes. "I did today in two or three legs where my head was going to blow off. I just had to keep it in. 'I was beating myself up about missed opportunities. I just give myself a kick up the backside.'
