DJ memorial photography contest winners lauded
LMW which sponsors and organises the DJ Memorial Photography Contest (DJMPC) honoured the winners at a function held at Kasthuri Sreenivasan Cultural Centre here on Wednesday.
The DJMPC was established in honour of LMW's former Chairman and Managing Director D Jayavarthanavelu (DJ). This event serves as a tribute to Dr. DJ's immense passion for photography. Since its establishment in 2012, the contest has consistently attracted enthusiastic participation from photographers.
The response to the 14th edition of DJMPC this year indicates that this annual event is increasingly solidifying its status as a significant occurrence on the photography calendar, a release said.
This year, a jury panel, comprising distinguished photographers, including Lakshitha Karunarathna from Sri Lanka, Shivang Mehta from New Delhi, and Saurabh Desai from Surat, evaluated the submitted entries. K Maruthachalam served as the contest mentor, while Vikram Sathyanathan was the contest administrator.
