Janet Street-Porter announces 2025 tour including south dates
Janet Street-Porter, one of Loose Women's most outspoken panellists, has announced her biggest solo tour to date for 2025. The tour, titled 'Janet Street-Porter Is Off The Leash', will be her first since 2006. It will begin on September 11 at The Kenton in Henley-On-Thames and will conclude on April 1, 2026, at the Halifax Playhouse. The tour will see Ms Street-Porter sharing her colourful life experiences, from her childhood to her successful career as a broadcaster, television executive, and newspaper editor. She will also be discussing her current life, complete with a senior railcard and four ex-husbands. The show promises to be a mix of comedy, tragedy, and gossip, as she delivers a "tour de force rant against growing old gracefully". Ms Street-Porter said: "This show will be pretty cathartic for me - a deep dive into the subjects that can be hard to chat about truthfully on live television - from my tormented relationship with my mum to what really happens when a relationship runs out of steam. "I'll be brutally honest about the highs and lows of a helter-skelter life well lived. "And it's not over yet!" The audience will also have the opportunity to ask Janet questions about her life. Ms Street-Porter has had a successful career in journalism and television, having won numerous awards including Columnist of the Year, the Prix Italia for arts programming, and a BAFTA for originality. She has also written two best-selling memoirs and regularly appears on television shows including Loose Women, Have I Got News for You, and Masterchef. Tickets for the tour can be purchased from her website.

Behind the curtain: The lurid fun of an ‘adults only' pantomime
THE NAUGHTY PANTOMIME It was adults only at The Kenton in Henley-on-Thames: Halfway through Sleeping With Beauty a pale and ghostly Seven-foot inflated phallus stepped onto the stage, Air-filled testicles bouncing against the footsteps of its inner man As he was followed by two more, the balls of one deflating And dragging on the floor, to the hysterical observations Of an enthusiastic audience. Was Prince Charming Really sleeping with Beauty? Or with the rest of the cast? As I write this down, I realise our confusion was because The sexes were exchanged and nothing as it seemed Was meant to last, except our laughter and the bright green dildo In the gift bag on the theatre shelf, put there for safety and effect By an actor acting as a spellbound elf. Maleficent, In his skin-tight black with glittering horns, untied the story's end With menacing grace and a crimson smile so wide It cracked the layers of chalk upon his face from side to side. When Princess Rose broke into song like a hyper-sexed canary The expressions of astonishment on the faces of my friends
