This Viral Video Of Pete Davidson's "New" Body Shows What He Really Looks Like In The Middle Of Removing Nearly 200 Tattoos

For the past few weeks, Pete Davidson's tattoo removal process has been garnering headlines left and right. While appearing on The Tonight Show last month, he opened up about "burning" off nearly 200 of his tattoos, saying most have been removed. "They gotta burn off a layer of your skin, and then it has to heal for six to eight weeks and you can't get in the sunlight. And then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times. So really think about that Game of Thrones tattoo," he said. A few days later, Pete also chatted with Seth Meyers on Late Night about the process, saying he didn't know how long it would take. "Like, when I'm 40, it'll all be gone, like the chest and the back,' he said. Then Pete all but broke the internet ahead of Valentine's Day when he stripped down to his underwear for a campaign with lifestyle brand Reformation. In the campaign photos, Pete showed off his upper body without the many tattoos that he's become well-known for having. For reference, here's Pete with all his tattoos in 2019 on the set of his film The King of Staten Island. Well, it seems Pete is still in the process of removing many of the tattoos and hasn't actually gotten rid of most across his chest. Pete revived his Saturday Night Live character Chad for a digital short as part of the long-running series' 50th anniversary celebration on Sunday. In a video short alongside original cast member Laraine Newman, Pete is seen shirtless, which reveals he's still got a good bulk of his tattoos. As you can see, most of his tattoos on his arms have been removed, but many still remain on his chest. So there you have it. According to People, Pete has spent $200,000 on removing the ink. Here's hoping he's budgeting well to remove the rest, too. You can watch his SNL short with Laraine, which already has over 700,000 views, below:

Pete Davidson debuts tattoo-free look in new Reformation campaign

Pete Davidson has officially embraced a fresh look, debuting his tattoo-free skin in a new campaign for clothing brand Reformation. The 31-year-old comedian, who has been undergoing tattoo removal since 2020, previously revealed that he had over 100 tattoos removed. During an appearance on TODAY, Davidson explained his decision, saying, 'I got sober and I saw myself in the mirror, and I was like, 'Nah.' I was like, 'I need to change it up a little bit.'' The SNL alum has reportedly spent $200,000 since then to remove his tattoos as part of his sobriety journey and career evolution. In the February Reformation campaign, Davidson is seen wearing white underwear, a white T-shirt, and white sneakers while smiling confidently. Other images show him lounging shirtless in low-rise slacks and sporting a crewneck sweatshirt with an animal-print purse. The campaign playfully labels him as "The official boyfriend of Reformation." Photo: Reformation Photo: Reformation Davidson initially revealed his tattoo removal plans in 2020 during a Q&A for his film The King of Staten Island . Film critic Mike McGranaghan later confirmed the news on social media, writing, 'Just attended a virtual Q&A with Judd Apatow and the cast of The King of Staten Island . And here's a scoop: Pete Davidson is in the process of getting all his tattoos removed!' In a 2021 Late Night with Seth Meyers interview, Davidson elaborated on his motivation, stating, 'I honestly never thought that I would get the opportunity to act and I love it a lot. You have to get there three hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, because for some reason, people in movies, they don't have that much.' Now, at 31, Davidson appears to have completed the transformation, embracing a clean slate and a new chapter in his career.

Pete Davidson Says His Role In New Animated Film Is One Of The ‘Best' Acting Gigs He's Had

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Pete Davidson's career has been an interesting one to follow, from his days on Saturday Night Live to his movies like Bodies Bodies Bodies and The King of Staten Island to his upcoming animated flick Dog Man and more. Through stand-up, TV and movies, he's done a lot in a short amount of time. Now he's opening up about the gig he considers one of his best yet -- and that job comes in the form of the aforementioned animated entry on the 2025 movie schedule. While Dog Man might feel like a surprising choice, Pete Davison explained why it's one of his best jobs yet to CBS News, and it makes a lot of sense. Looking back on his career, he noted that he hasn't had many chances to play a character with a full arc, but he does in this animated movie: It's a really fun, loud, layered character. I don't get a lot of opportunities to stretch like that. … It's the best arc I've ever been given. Usually I'm in a movie for, like, nine minutes, and then shot in the face, so it was nice to have a full [arc]! That's so great to hear that the Bodies Bodies Bodies actor has had some room to showcase his talents in Dog Man. It is true that Davidson typically has been on the frays of many series and movies or he's playing a character a lot like himself. So, it'll be great to see him take center stage as the wyly villain, Petey the Cat. This movie comes from the beloved children's author, Dav Pilkey, who created Captain Underpants, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the Meet Cute star get into the fun and outlandish world the iconic author has created--the vibes are there for me. Davidson's claims of the late January release being his best job thus far are exciting. I've loved him since he was first hired as one of the youngest Saturday Night Live cast members (even though he asked to have Lorne Michaels fire him after the first year), and I've been looking forward to seeing him expand out into other projects and genres. Read More About Pete Davidson Pete Davidson Movies And TV Shows: What To Watch If You Love The Former SNL Star Amid his SNL run, he exploded in popularity and created and starred in the semi-autobiographical film The King of Staten Island (don't confuse it with his overly viral Staten Island ferry purchase, but it's something a king would do). After leaving the sketch show, Davidson also starred in his own series, Bupkis. Outside of that, he had small roles in films like Bodies Bodies Bodies, The Suicide Squad, and more. However, when it comes to those movies and others, he's mostly played comedic relief and had limited screen time. So, it will be fun to see him in a new, fleshed-out, antagonistic role in this fun-for-the-whole-family flick. Overall, hearing Davidson's excitement about Dog Man has me thrilled about his performance in the film that comes out on January 31 as well as the trajectory of his career. It's wonderful to see him passionate about this project and where his career is going, and I'm hopeful he'll get to take on more characters like this one that gives him the chance to stretch as an actor and tell a full story.
