Lego announces Nintendo Game Boy set: When does it come out?
Feeling nostalgic for old Nintendo consoles? Well, '80s and '90s kids rejoice, because Lego has the solution for you. "To celebrate a revolutionary time in video game history, The Lego Group is bringing a true icon to brick form, the original Game Boy system from Nintendo," Lego said in a press release. On July 23, Lego announced the release of a Lego Game Boy Model Building Set, which is a near 1:1 scale replica of the original Game Boy, first released in 1989. The build is now available for pre-order starting on July 24, according to Lego. It will be available for purchase on Oct. 1. "This collectible 421-piece brick-built replica of the original Game Boy handheld game system comes with all the memorable features, the +Control Pad, A and B Buttons, and SELECT and START," according to the press release. The build, which is intended for Lego fans 18 and up, will also include the contrast adjustment and volume dial. Here's what you need to know about the new Lego Game Boy build. Game Boy Game Paks included Game paks are cartridges that contain a game's data. Included in the build are two game paks: Both paks are brick-built.
