Cody Rhodes returns at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event: 3 feuds for the ‘American Nightmare' now that he is back

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE programming at Saturday Night's Main Event and hit John Cena, the man who beat him at WrestleMania 41 with help from Travis Scott, with a Cross Rhodes. This helped Jey Uso retain the World Heavyweight Championship against Logan Paul. Post the match, Rhodes virtually confirmed his next big feud and announced that he is here to stay. With this, here is a look at three potential feuds for the 'American Nightmare' going ahead. An exciting tag match Let's start with the one that is almost confirmed. After helping Jey Uso retain the title, Rhodes announced that he plans to team up with the 'Yeet Master' to take on John Cena and Logan Paul at Money in the Bank on June 7. This match is likely to be made official on the upcoming edition of Raw. It has the potential to further Jey's feud with 'The Maverick' and also bring 'QB1' one step closer to his ultimate goal— recapturing the Undisputed title. Round 2 with John Cena John Cena is expected to hold on to the title for at least a few more months before dropping it. Moreover, going by the vicious way in which he assaulted R-Truth tonight, the Cenation Leader is unlikely to turn face anytime soon. This essentially suggests that Cody Rhodes, who didn't get his 'Mania rematch, could possibly lock horns with Cena again. This potential match could happen at SummerSlam or even Survivor Series, which are among the 'Big 4' events of professional wrestling, with the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania being the other two. Mixing it up with 'The Best in the World' The Rock reportedly wanted Cody Rhodes to turn heel ahead of WrestleMania 41 but the idea was turned down as 'QB1' is immensely popular and his merchandise sells well. This, however, does not mean that he will never embrace the dark side. In fact, WWE may already have a suitable opponent for him should he turn heel and that person is none other than CM Punk. 'The Second City Saint' has never had a long feud with Rhodes and could make a good opponent for him at WrestleMania 42. Logan Paul Issues Heartfelt Apology To Stone Cold Steve Austin

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Logan Paul has issued a public apology to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin after discussing a private business offer on his podcast. This followed WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin confirming reports he had turned down a $1 million proposal from Paul to wear a PRIME Hydration bottle costume during WrestleMania 41 weekend, with Austin indicating displeasure that the offer was made public. Recognizing he may have overstepped, Paul addressed the situation directly to Austin in a YouTube vlog. Filming himself near a WWE production truck featuring Austin's image, "The Maverick" admitted fault for sharing their private talks. Paul explained his lapse in judgment occurred while recording his podcast shortly after the event weekend. He candidly blamed being "hungover after a crazy night in Vegas" for talking too much. "Mr Cold, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize," Paul stated in his vlog message to Austin. "I didn't mean to expose any private business conversations." He continued, acknowledging his tendency to overshare: "Sometimes I say too much... I have a big mouth and a platform to say a bunch of sht and I said a bunch of sht. Sorry about that, Steve." Paul expressed concern about their professional relationship, adding, "I hope I didn't ruin our relationship. Hope we can work together in the future." WWE/Getty Images Paul also conveyed understanding regarding Austin's decision to decline the lucrative offer. He acknowledged that wearing the costume likely didn't align with the legendary wrestler's persona or brand. "It's not your thing. We know it was a reach. You're a legend." He invoked the famous Wayne Gretzky quote, adding, "And you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, Steve. So we tried, it didn't work out this time... Hope you're not mad at me, Mr Cold." Austin had previously addressed the situation on The Ariel Helwani Show after Paul first mentioned the offer. While reluctant to discuss it, Austin confirmed the story once Paul made it public. "Man, if he said that, I'm not gonna call him a liar. I just thought that was personal business, but since it's out there—yeah, I turned it down," Austin stated. His primary reason was loyalty to his own beverage brand. "I'm in the beer business, I sell Broken Skull beer," Austin explained. "I don't know anything about his product [PRIME], the ingredients, or whether it's good or bad or whatever. It just wasn't my thing." He reiterated that it wasn't a fit for his image, though he respected Paul's work ethic. "No man, that's not my gimmick... He's doing really well—obviously he's hustling, and more power to him—but it just wasn't a great fit for Steve Austin," he concluded, stressing there was no disrespect intended toward Paul or PRIME.
