Henry Cavill confirms baby's gender months after birth in sweet update

Henry Cavill has revealed the gender of his baby with his partner Natalie Viscuso. The Justice League star, 41, and Viscuso, 35, first announced they were expecting in April of last year and in January, the couple was spotted with a pram with their newborn in Australia. The former Superman star has revealed that his first child is a daughter and mentioned her birth when asked about the most important time in his life. Speaking to British GQ, the actor said: 'My daughter being born, and the 5 of us [partner Natalie, daughter, Cavill and their two dogs] settling into our forever home.' The star has yet to reveal his daughter's name, and given his preference for privacy, it's unlikely that he will share this information for some time – or at all. In the same interview, he was also asked about where in the world he feels the most 'grounded', revealing it was at his home with his family. 'At home in the UK. I've found a very special place that speaks to my soul in so many ways,' he said. Henry and Natalie were first spotted with their baby in January on the Gold Coast of Australia, where Cavill was filming a live-action adaptation of Voltron. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Natalie seemed to be wearing a diamond ring on her left hand, suggesting that the couple may be headed towards marriage. Cavill first confirmed that they were expecting a baby in the spring of last year, when he told reporters at the premiere of his new movie, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, that he was thrilled at the prospect of becoming a father. 'I'm very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I'm sure you'll see much more of that,' Cavill told an Access Hollywood reporter when asked about the concept of fatherhood generally. When asked whether the depiction of fatherhood in his new film inspired him to become a parent, he responded: 'I mean, he didn't inspire me to do that. My parents did.' The couple has been together at least since 2021, when they made their relationship official with a post on Instagram of the pair playing chess. More Trending A month later in May 2021, the actor shared another post asking fans to allow him to keep his relationship with Natalie private. 'I know it can be fun to speculate, to gossip, and to dive into our own personal echo chambers on the internet, but your 'passion' is misplaced, and it causes harm to the people I care about most.' He then added: 'I am very happy in love, and in life. I'd be enormously grateful if you were happy with me.' The pair prefer to keep their relationship offline, with Natalie making infrequent appearances on Henry's social media, with the actor using his page primarily to promote his campaigns, TV shows, and films. Inside the Scottish Highland house that served as secret base in WW2 now for sale

The historic Highland home that once held secret agents during World War Two is now for sale at over £1.3 million A remote Highland retreat with a top-secret wartime past is now on sale for offers over £1.3 million, according to a listing by Galbraith Group. Inverlair Lodge, a six-bedroom estate near Tulloch in Inverness-shire, once played a hidden but vital role in the Allied war effort. In 1941, it was taken over by the Special Operations Executive (SOE), Churchill's shadow army of saboteurs and spies, not for training, but to quietly house foreign agents too dangerous to release yet unfit for duty. Known as No. 6 Special Workshop School, the lodge offered these 'troublesome' operatives a secluded exile, keeping them occupied with tasks like mending boots and salvaging scrap metal under watch by British soldiers. The house's secretive past has inspired everything from the 1960s spy drama The Prisoner to Guy Ritchie's 2024 film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Now restored, the lodge sits amid unspoilt Highland beauty, with views over the River Spean and access to walking trails, Munros, and the Nevis Range resort. Despite its seclusion, Tulloch Bridge station is nearby, with sleeper trains to London, and Glasgow Airport is two hours away.

Eiza Gonzalez loved working with Guy Richie on Fountain of Youth

Eiza Gonzalez was "like a sponge" on the set of 'Fountain of Youth'. The 35-year-old actress stars alongside the likes of John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Domhnall Gleeson in the Guy Ritchie-directed adventure film, and Eiza has revealed that she relished working with the acclaimed filmmaker. The Hollywood star - who previously worked with Guy on 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare' - told Collider: "For me, you're always learning from another person - and especially someone as deep and as well-rounded as Guy Richie. "You think you know him and you're like, 'Wow, there are so many layers to you.' Not only as an individual but also as a director. And so I was just so grateful that I got the chance to be in this movie and I'm always sort of coming to set as if it's the first time I've ever worked with this person." Eiza actually feels grateful to play a part in 'Fountain of Youth'. The actress also appreciated being part of the film's star-studded cast. She shared: "I always want to take advantage of the moment I'm on a set, because it's not a given, and want to absorb it like a sponge. And so I did. "I had the most incredible cast to work with. I would go to set to watch them sometimes ... it's fun, you know? These movies are a gift and you have to sort of really enjoy them in the process of it all." Meanwhile, Eiza previously confessed to feeling "distraught" after being overlooked for the role of Catwoman in 'The Batman'. The actress was one of the candidates for the iconic role in the 2022 film, but Zoe Kravitz ultimately landed the coveted part in the Matt Reeves-directed movie. Eiza told "I was so excited when I was like, camera tested for 'The Batman'. And that whole process was shocking and I couldn't believe it because I was especially such a huge fan of Catwoman. And in that moment, I was like, you know, distraught that I didn't get it. "But then I watched it and I was like, wow, I just like, loved it. I loved her. I loved the role. I loved Zoe in it. "I just was so obsessed with what Matt had created and now I'm just like, it's just nice to see people for the right role getting cast in the right role and I just like to watch it as an audience member." Eiza would still love to land a role in a Marvel or a DC movie. But, she added: "I don't see it happening. "I mean, it's like my opportunity has been there and it's not happened for me. So I think it's just not in the cards for Eiza Gonzalez, which is OK. I'm ... I'm OK with it."

Eiza Gonzalez in disbelief about being cast in Fountain of Youth

Eiza Gonzalez was shocked when Guy Ritchie cast her in 'Fountain of Youth'. The 35-year-old actress thought the esteemed 56-year-old film director was "joking" after he got her involved in three back-to-back projects, including 2024's action war movie 'The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare' and 2025's action flick 'In the Grey'. Eiza told SFX magazine: "I was like, 'There's no way that Guy would want me [again].' And in December, right after the holidays - because the holidays can be, kind of, grim sometimes - I was just by myself in Los Angeles, and I got a call, 'You've got the offer.' "I was like, 'You're joking?'" The star plays Esme in the 'Fountain of Youth' - which sees Luke Purdue (John Krasinski), the estranged brother of Charlotte Purdue (Natalie Portman), team up with his sibling for a worldwide hunt to find the mythological titular fountain in the film. And the first thing Eiza thought of to get in character was to chop her hair off. The 'Ash' star explained: "The first thing I said is, 'I think we need to cut my hair off.' Completely change my look. "Look very different to what we did before. I want to make her completely her own." Esme is a "protector" and described the character to the New York Times as 'machiavellian fun, a huge enigma and kind of a poker face, but a sassy and witty girl". And Eiza loved playing her. She continued: "She's just a great character to be able to play. She's just so multifaceted and fun in a very Guy Ritchie way. "She's, kind of, following this crew of talented people and trying to find out what they're trying to do, because she has ulterior motives." The 'Baby Driver' actress loves taking risks and pushing herself to perform at her very best, and Eiza thinks this encouraged Guy to cast her in 'Fountain of Youth'. She told the New York Times: "I think he really enjoys someone that is willing to take risks and play and push themselves, and he saw a lot of desire in me." John Krasinski gushed his praise for Guy's work on 'Fountain of Youth', and it has made John feel proud that he can add the flick to his list of acting credits. The 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' star said: "This is one of those movies where you'll look back and go, 'I'm so glad I did this.'" And the dad-of-two - Hazel, 10, and Violet, seven, who he has with his wife Emily Blunt - is thrilled that he can finally show his bundles of joy a movie he is in and that he can shut down Hazel and Violet's beliefs that he was an "accountant". John said: "My kids are 10 and about to be eight, and Guy just showed them the opening of the movie, and they were like, 'When's this coming out?' "I think they thought I was an accountant before. They can't watch 'A Quiet Place' or 'Jack Ryan'. So they're like, 'Where do you go every day?' "And now they know!"
